Learnable Reading and Phonics Tuition

Learnable Reading and Phonics Tuition Our online reading tuition and programmes are primarily for Reception and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) children. We can revisit and embed the basics.

Reading and phonics
With a focus on building learner confidence, qualified teachers at Learnable Education provide children with online tuition and support needed for them to embed the essential phonic knowledge needed to become fluent readers. There are many reasons why children may need reading tuition throughout their educational journey. It is important to know that it is not too late or even

too early for your child. Young children are all at different stages in their learning. Gaps in learning, struggling to grasp certain concepts and moving at a slower pace than classmates are many of the things we hear reported from class teachers and parents. If gaps appear, we want to do all we can for your children so that they can get back on track. You may want to help give your child the boost that they need, or maybe the challenge that they crave. This essential knowledge is necessary for children to be successful leaners and without this they will struggle to keep up and move on. A great tutor delivers a programme that has impact on learning. We will work closely with you and your child to identify their learning needs and plan for these accordingly.

Reading gives us somewhere to go when we have to stay where we are.

First, we learn to listen, enjoy a book or two,
turn the pages and smile at the characters and tales.

Then we learn the mechanics of reading, the sounds that blend together as we say them aloud.

When we master the flow, we read for pleasure, then a world of stories and wonder truly unravels at our fingertips.

To learn to read is to hold a power over the knowledge we are yet to learn and the tales we are yet to unveil. 📖

Is your child in Year 1 or Year 2?

Did you know that all Year 1 children are due to complete a statutory phonics screening check in June 2022?

The same goes for any Year 2 child who didn't pass this in September 2021 having missed out doing it in Year 1 due to the pandemic.

Is your child in need of some extra support to build their reading confidence? Do they need a boost to help them recognise sounds and blend words more easily?

Repetition and focussed practise is essential to ensure children are confident in recognising the 44 key sounds in the phonetic code.

Many children have lost a lot of learning time over the past 2 years and the impact is that they haven't quite secured their phonic knowledge.

When secure they can tackle such a wide range of familiar and unknown words with confidence, using the strategies that they know.

Do you want to ensure that your child is ready for the upcoming statutory screening check?

Is your child ready to enjoy reading alongside others in a fun, high impact programme exclusively for children in their year group?

Did you know your child may be struggling to read because their phonic knowledge is not quite where it should be?

Are you aware that your Year 1 child will complete a statutory phonics screening check in June 2022?

Did you know that your Year 2 child may have to redo this check if they didn't pass it when they started Year 2 in September 2021?

Could it be that they are just not secure in recognising the sounds/letters in words and this is affecting their confidence in the classroom?

Are you tired of seeing them struggle and watching them become frustrated when asked to read?

Here's the thing, if you don't put plans in place to solve this now, it will carry on with them throughout their education.

Reading with fluency and confidence is the foundation for learning across all subjects.

Once children read fluently, they develop deeper understanding and comprehension.

The longer children struggle with reading, the wider the gap becomes and the harder it is to catch up.

It is my desire that every child can engage, enjoy and excel in reading.

My name is Charlotte, I am a qualified teacher who has taught many young children to read, it is my passion.

Over the years I have seen and heard too often of children who have struggled, just because that foundational knowledge of reading isn't embedded.

I can't wait to tell you more about my 10 week Primary Phonics Programme (PPP).

The programme will help your child gain more confidence in reading.

The programme is delivered through small group tuition of 4 to 6 learners, for 30 minutes, 3 times per week. Short, regular sessions ensure maximum impact and engagement.

Your child will learn and embed the necessary phonic knowledge needed to decode words and blend sounds to read with increased fluency.

They will enjoy reading and no longer find it a struggle to read the words that they come across.

Using a DfE approved learning structure, I will help your child, like so many others, build their knowledge and confidence as a reader.

Would you like to join a programme so that your child can become the reader they deserve to be?

I will complete an initial check to assess your child to ensure that they are enrolled onto the programme that is right for them, for what they need.

Send me a message 👇🏻 and I look forward to speaking to you soon.

The phonics screening check is back.

All Year 1 children, and some Year 2 children will complete this statutory assessment in June this year.

Helping your child to read is such a high priority. Making sure they get the right help and support encourages them to become life long readers who enjoy books for years to come.

The phonics screening, checks your child's knowledge and use of sounds when reading.

Essentially, the purpose of the phonics screening check will be to confirm that all children have learned phonic decoding to an age-appropriate standard.

Does your child have the necessary knowledge to be a confident, age appropriate reader?
