…And that’s a wrap on this half term’s music lessons! I hope you all have a fabulous half term holiday. Enjoy the jubilee celebrations, but don’t forget to practise as much as you can! I am looking forward to seeing you all back for your lessons during week commencing 6th June. 🎷🎹🎶

Today’s Boom Whacker Music Club was incredibly fun! We learned to play ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ 🌸🔮✨👻

🐣Easter Holiday Boom Whacker Music Club🐣

We will be starting with some rhythm practice and learning basic songs to start with like 'Old MacDonald'. Then we will work on learning to play some songs like ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’, ‘Ghost Busters’ and ‘Africa’ by Toto. It's going to be a fun-filled, musical afternoon!

A little about me: I am a flautist, saxophonist and a grade 8 (ABRSM) pianist with a BA(Hons) in Music from Leeds College of Music (now Leeds Conservatoire) and have recently completed a PGCE at the University of Leeds.

🐣Easter Holiday Boom Whacker Music Club🐣

Taking place at Scotton Village Hall on Tuesday 12th and Tuesday 19th April at 3pm - 4pm for ages 5-11.

💥🎶 Boom Whackers are a fun way for children to learn and perform music. Not sure what Boom Whackers are? Watch the video of a Boom Whacker Group performing via the link at the bottom of this post 👇🏻

A Friday night tip for my pupils - a good example of the difference between slurs and ties 🎶

Slurs indicate a passage is to be performed ‘legato’ - smooth and connected.

Ties indicate that the notes are to be connected as one.
