Looking for an introduction to crochet? I will be going through the basics to help you construct your first granny squares. You will learn how to hold the hook and yarn, chain stitches, single and triple crochet and how to change colours. The workshop will be held at Painting Pots Knaresborough. No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided.

Do you want to learn the basics of macrame in a lovely studio. I will be teaching how to knot up a beautiful macrame plant pot hanger on Thursday 5th October at 7 until 9.30pm. I am being hosted by Painting Pots so in addition to a lovely hanger you will also be able to paint your very own paint pot too.

Anyone else get completely distracted in the middle of a project?

I have been knitting wristwarmers in my little Summerhouse but didn't have anywhere to leave it safe on a night or a yarn bowl to help control the yarn.

So had to make a macrame yarn holder to solve the problem. I love macrame. It is so functional and decorative at the same time.
