🎭 ENCORE YOUTH MUSIC THEATRE – FOUNDING COMPANY 🎭

This September, a brand-new youth musical theatre company launches at Wales High School, offering high-quality, industry-led training and the chance to originate roles in brand-new musical theatre.

Led by industry professionals, Encore offers specialist training in singing, acting, dance, performance and audition technique, with tutors connected to productions including SIX, Wicked, Les Misérables, Mean Girls, Heathers, Matilda and more.

⭐ Members will also work on original musical theatre by professional composer Steven Luke Walker, with new songs and characters created around the young performers themselves.

✨ Years 3–6: Wednesdays, 4:30–6:00pm
✨ Years 7+: Wednesdays, 6:15–9:15pm
⭐ Monthly Sunday intensive training day

📍 Wales High School, Sheffield

🎬 Entry is through a simple self-tape audition. Encore is looking for potential, individuality and a love of performing – not perfection.

💫Limited places available in our Community Trampolining Sessions! 💫

The Wales Flyers at Wales High School are starting back on Tuesday 8 September, and we have a limited number of spaces available!

All sessions are led by a professional trampoline coach in a safe, friendly and supportive environment. Trampolining is a fantastic way for children to stay active, develop new skills and, most importantly, have fun! 💙

27 Years. Countless Memories. One Incredible Caretaker!

Friday 17 July marked the end of an incredible 27 years of dedicated service as Caretaker at Wales High School for John Broadley.

For more than two decades, John has been the driving force behind our grounds maintenance and sports pitches, helping to create an environment that generations of students, staff and visitors have enjoyed. While the work he has done has been exceptional, it is the person he is that we will remember most.

Nothing has ever been too much trouble. John has always gone above and beyond with a smile, showing kindness, humility and unwavering dedication in everything he has done. His willingness to help, no matter the task and the pride he has taken in our school have made a lasting impression on everyone who has had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

On behalf of the entire Wales High School community, we would like to thank John for everything he has done over the past 27 years. His loyalty, friendship and commitment to the school have been truly remarkable, and his contribution to Wales High School has been immeasurable.

We wish John a long, happy and healthy retirement. Thank you for everything, John, you will always be a valued part of the Wales High School family. 💙💛
