The Little Acorns have had fun learning how to use a range of practical skills and tools in the forest.
From using mallet and pegs, to whittling with vegetable peelers, to tying knots and making stick puppets - they've all had a good go, supported by our knowledgeable practitioners. While these experiences come with higher levels of risk, they provide rich opportunities for developing confidence, self-esteem, independent risk assessment, fine motor skills, sequencing and listening skills as well as helping children gain a deeper understanding of technology and how it can help us in our daily lives. Our Little Acorns have been so proud of their achievements and creations π
