Warm Christmas wishes from the staff and children at Johnston Nursery! As we start our festive break, we're reflecting on a December filled with exciting outings and a variety of Christmas-themed crafts, both indoors and outdoors. Happy Christmas to everyone!

We are delighted to share that our outdoor classroom in the main nursery playground is now officially open! This is a project that we have been planning since it was highlighted as a priority in our annual improvement plan in May. The space will be used by all children, but also as a quiet area when the busy playground or indoor space is overwhelming for some of our children.

The nursery children had a lovely visit to Greyfriars Church earlier this week. A big thank you to Rev Alison Hudson for sharing a Christmas story and song with us!

We had a fantastic time at the Christmas Fair!
A big thank you to all the families who joined us for our first ever Christmas fair yesterday. It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and lovely atmosphere, allowing our families to enjoy time together.
A big thank you to Claire Reid for bringing Freddie the Christmas pony along to see us and to Nairn Clark and Mum, Giselle for bringing along the massive Christmas tractor. Also, thank you to the Kirkcudbright Development Trust for arranging the wonderful story teller, Renita Boyle to attend for Christmas stories and to Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities for the loan of the gazebos and railings. A final thank you goes to the wonderful Johnston Nursery staff team for all their efforts in putting the fair together and giving up their well earned Sunday rest.

No award home from Glasgow but a great evening with some of the best nurseries in Scotland! An amazing achievement to be included as a finalist!
