Our Baby Ballet class is the perfect first introduction to the magical world of dance for your littlest ones.

🌟 Ages 18 months – 3 years
🩰 Every Saturday
⏰ 9:00–9:30am
🤍 Parent/carer joins in too!

At this age, stepping into a dance class can feel like a BIG adventure for tiny feet … which is why we invite you to be part of it with them.

Having you in the room gives them the confidence to explore, join in and have fun while gradually building trust with our studio and their teacher. Before they know it, NRJ becomes somewhere that feels safe, familiar and special. 🥹

Expect music, movement, imagination, little ballet steps and plenty of magical moments together. ✨

And the best part? You get to experience those precious first dance-class memories right alongside them.

Our Baby Ballet class almost NEVER has availability, but a few of our teenies have recently graduated and moved up to their next class 🥹🎓 … which means we have a handful of spaces available!

That’s right… our 2027 annual show officially has a name and we are OBSESSED! 👀

RAISING THE BARRE feels like the perfect title for everything NRJ is about … pushing ourselves, growing in confidence, working hard, dreaming bigger and continuing to raise the standard year after year. 🖤💚

And if you’ve experienced an NRJ show before, you KNOW this isn’t just another date in the diary…

🖤 A LITTLE BEHIND THE BUSINESS…

I often hear parents joke with me… “I just give you all my money!” 😂 or “You must make a fortune running a dance school!”

And I totally get why it can look that way from the outside.You pay your fees, comp entries, costumes, workshops, private lessons… and I know having a child who loves to dance can be expensive. But what you don’t often see are the invoices that land behind the scenes just to keep a dance school running.

So I thought I’d share just ONE of them. MUSIC 🎵

Something so simple. Something we literally cannot teach our classes without.

Our cost simply to be able to play music legally within our classes at the studio?

£330.86. EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH.

I’ll admit… this is probably one of the bills I grudge paying the most 😂 because it’s literally just for the ability to press play!

To put that into perspective, that one bill alone is roughly the equivalent of 11 students attending one class every week for an entire month.

11 students’ monthly fees…Gone. Just to play music.

And that’s before studio rent, electricity and heating, staff wages, insurance, licences, booking systems, accountancy, cleaning, equipment, maintenance, training and all the other costs that come with keeping our studios running.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy or to complain. I chose to run this business and I absolutely LOVE what we have created at NRJ. 🖤 But sometimes I think it’s important to show the other side of small business ownership too.

Because behind every class your child walks into, there is an entire business working away in the background to make sure the lights are on, the studio is warm, their teachers are paid, everything is insured and licensed and, apparently for £330.86 a month… the music is playing. 😂🎵

You can enjoy watching your child walk into class, dance their heart out and leave with a smile. 🖤 And I’ll keep opening the invoices behind the scenes… even if I occasionally need a lie down after reading them. 😂

🎭✨ MEET MISS LIV — OUR NEW MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER! ✨🎭

We are SO excited to officially welcome the lovely Miss Liv to the NRJ teaching team! 🖤💚

From next week, Miss Liv will be taking over our Musical Theatre classes here at NRJ, bringing with her a wealth of training, experience and most importantly, a real passion for helping young performers grow in confidence and find their place on the stage. 🎤🎭💃

Miss Kirstin will be finishing up those classes from this evening, with Miss Liv shadowing this week to make sure our students have a lovely, smooth transition into this exciting new chapter.

And while we’re so excited for what Liv is going to bring to Musical Theatre… we’re equally excited about what’s coming next for Miss Kirstin. 👀🤫 More on THAT very soon… 🖤

So, let us introduce you properly to Miss Liv…

🎓 Liv Currie is a Musical Theatre performer who graduated from Addict Dance Academy in 2026 with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre. Liv began dancing from a young age before studying Acting & Performance at New College Lanarkshire for two years, then continuing her training at Addict Dance Academy where she completed her honours degree in Musical Theatre. Liv has a huge passion for teaching and particularly loves the positive impact performing arts can have on a young person’s confidence, mental wellbeing and personal development, alongside helping them strengthen their skills and grow as performers.

Here at NRJ, Liv will be helping our students develop across all THREE Musical Theatre disciplines — ACTING, SINGING & DANCE! 🎭🎤💃

Her goal is to help our students grow as both ensemble and solo performers, encouraging them to challenge themselves, discover new skills and build their confidence in a positive, supportive and safe environment. And above everything else… to have FUN and develop a genuine love for performing. ✨

We are incredibly excited to have you as part of the team, Miss Liv, and we cannot wait for our Musical Theatre students to get to know you!

🏆✨ FIRST COMP OF THE NEW SEASON… AND WHAT A START! ✨🏆

Today we headed to Illusion Dance Competition for our very first competition of the new dance season and we are coming home with VERY full hearts… and 25 trophies! 🥹🖤

So many brand new routines hit the floor for the very first time today, with some absolutely HUGE sections of up to 36 dancers… and our NRJ superstars absolutely smashed it. I know we say it every single competition, but we will never get tired of saying it…WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU.

Not just because of the trophies. Not just because of the placings. But because of the dancers you are becoming and, more importantly, the PEOPLE you are becoming. 🖤

One of our favourite things today was watching you all stay around to support one another. Cheering your teammates on, celebrating each other’s successes, giving hugs when they were needed and genuinely wanting to see each other do well.

That is NRJ.
That means more to us than any trophy ever could. 🫶🏻

We even had quite a few improv callbacks today too! 👏🏻

And then there were the lovely comments from other dancers, teachers and dance schools about our routines today. 🥹 Hearing other people recognise the talent and hard work in our dancers and choreography is incredibly special and something we never take for granted. Even when we turn up with our slightly mad collection of props… 🤪😂 You wouldn’t expect anything less from NRJ!

A huge happy birthday to our wonderful Miss Kirstin! 🖤💚

We hope you have the loveliest day celebrating YOU because you absolutely deserve it!

Kirstin has been such a special part of the NRJ family for so many years now, and we are incredibly lucky to have her. From the gorgeous routines she creates to the time, care and belief she pours into her dancers, you can see just how much she genuinely loves what she does.

She’s been there for so many big NRJ moments, watched so many of our dancers grow up and played such a huge part in their journeys along the way. 🥹

Whether she’s teaching, choreographing, cheering from the side of a competition floor or keeping everyone going during the madness of showtime… NRJ simply wouldn’t be the same without her!

Thank you for everything you bring to our little NRJ world, Kirstin. We appreciate you more than you know. 🫶🏼

🚨 WE’RE SORRY… WE HOPE YOU CAN FORGIVE US! 😬😂

Well… this is a little embarrassing 🙈

It turns out our booking system decided to have a mind of its own and SWITCHED OFF ALL OF OUR 2-WEEK TRIAL OPTIONS! 🤦‍♀️

And we didn’t notice. OOPS. 😂

We’d been receiving messages from people saying they wanted to try a class but couldn’t see the trial option… and we were thinking, “That’s strange, it should definitely be there?!”

Turns out… it definitely WASN’T. 😂

But good news…

🚨 THE NRJ 2-WEEK TRIAL IS OFFICIALLY BACK! 🚨

The little system gremlin has been dealt with, the buttons are switched back on, and you can now book a 2-week trial in any of our classes with availability before officially signing up. 🙌🏻🖤

So, perhaps we can turn our little technical disaster into something useful…
