A massive well done to my client Sharron, who completed the Women’s 10K today… but the biggest result of all?
“Absolutely no pain.” 🎉
Sharron has been PTing with me for almost two years now, and over the past while, running hasn’t always been straightforward.
An underlying issue was causing discomfort whenever she ran, which eventually led to Sharron seeing a sports physiotherapist. From there, I worked alongside her physio to make sure her training was adapted appropriately, with the aim of building her strength, supporting her rehabilitation and gradually getting her back to running comfortably.
Despite the setbacks, Sharron has still completed a 5K, 10K and half marathon this year. I even got to see firsthand how much she was struggling when i watched her hobble across the finish line at the Cramond 5k
That’s what makes today so rewarding.
To hear Sharron finish the Women’s 10K and say she had absolutely no pain is something we’ve been working towards for a long time.
I’m absolutely delighted for you, Sharron. You’ve stayed consistent, trusted the process and kept going even when running wasn’t feeling the way you wanted it to.
And now that we’ve finally reached this point, we can really start looking forward. 👀
Next up is the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon, before potentially turning our attention towards an even bigger goal next year…
The full marathon. 👀🏃♀️
Well done, Sharron. I’m so proud of you! ❤️
