Shukokai Karate Academy Scotland is our official name and we specialise in teaching children and females from age 4 years and upwards effective karate and self protection techniques. We are particularly passionate about the protection of females and children by teaching them situational awareness alongside techniques for giving valuable seconds to save your own life during an attack. We DO NOT off

er any form of short course to turn you into a walking weapon as these courses do not work. ONLY HARD WORK AND PRACTICE will help to tune up your natural capabilities into effective self protection tools. The best tools you have at your disposal are your brain and eyes; and with proper training from our team of former military you will begin to notice much more than you did before about human nature and exactly how some people are particularly predatory. Shukokai karate is one of the hardest hitting karate styles. It is part of the Sh*to-Ryu style umbrella and shukokai was brought to life by Tani Sensei and was further refined by Shihan Shigeru Kimura, who was known for his brutal punching power but also for his wisdom.
