We are collaborating with the fantastic Smartsy Fused Glass Craft to bring you a great Glass Fusion Christmas decoration workshop on Saturday 21st November. Everything will be provided for you - materials, guidance as you create your masterpiece, cake, refreshments and plenty of Christmas cheer! Tickets are on sale now and are being snapped up!

When a child is struggling with something, the last thing they need to be told is ‘this is difficult for you’, ‘you need to do this better before you can move on’, ‘you need to try harder’ - sounds awful doesn’t it, but often children do hear these words and it destroys their confidence to even try.

What children need is a growth mindset,self belief and the confidence to keep trying, even when it’s hard to make headway.

At the Little Learning shed we never say I can’t- we say I can try and our whole ethos is to encourage and support our students to develop their confidence and resilience. If you believe you can’t do something, then you probably won’t - if you think you can then almost always , you can!

And that’s our job, making the student understand they can - it works, it builds resilience and achievement. Olympic athletes, famous pop stars, all couldn’t do what they do, at one time. Dedication and self belief, practice and determination is why they can now! And your child is just the same. It’s not really magic - it can happen to every one of us! So let us help your child to find their personal magic and see what happens!

It really makes everything worthwhile when one of your students says something like this at the end of a session. He really meant it too. This lad has not thrived in a school environment but working with me 1-1 on topics that interest him has been key to the amount of knowledge he has accumulated in a short space of time. My tutoring is always individually tailored to the individual’s interests and needs. #1-1tuition

Tutoring is not just for those who are struggling. It is also just as important for building self esteem, pushing students to have a growth mindset and believe they can achieve their ambitions. It can be a short term boost or a long term weekly session.
