🚌 NEW LANCASHIRE BUS ROUTE | A Sedbergh education closer than you might think

Step back in time! 🏛️⚔️

This week, our Year 4 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable visit to Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads Roman Fort, where they brought their classroom learning to life.

Exploring one of Britain's most remarkable Roman sites, the children discovered what life was like for the soldiers who guarded the northern frontier of the Roman Empire. From walking amongst the ancient fort ruins to learning about Roman daily life, there was plenty to spark their curiosity and imagination.

A huge thank you to the team at Housesteads Roman Fort for their warm hospitality and for providing such an engaging and educational experience for our pupils.

A huge thank you to Matt Messias for leading such a thoughtful and practical workshop last night on Resilience and Supporting Your Child Through Change.

Matt has been working closely with our academic staff and pupils throughout the year, helping to embed strategies for confidence, wellbeing and leadership across the school. Over the past two days, he’s also met with Years 6, 7 and 8, sharing valuable insights on navigating change and building resilience.

We’re so grateful to all the parents and carers—both current and future families—who joined us for this engaging evening. These workshops are part of our ongoing commitment to offering meaningful, useful sessions for parents, equipping families with practical tools to support children’s mental health and wellbeing.
