Daisy Chain Day Nursery is a friendly place to work with a well established team. We are a nursery based in the heart of the community that has the children at the centre of everything we do!

As an Early Years Practitioner/Assistant you will be responsible for:
-Delivering excellent care and education to the children.
-Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children in your care.
-Working alongside a team of fun practitioners to create an engaging environment enabling children to reach their full potential.
-Planning, providing and supporting age-appropriate play opportunities in line with our curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care.

Children in need 2025! 🧸
Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you for everyone's support during our fundraising event for children in need! The children have really enjoyed taking part in lots of different crafts, baking activities and games to raise awareness for children in need!
We have raised an impressive £218.08! Which is incredible! We have raised more than last year and smashed our £200 target! We hope everyone enjoyed their treats!

Happy Halloween from everyone here at Daisy Chains! The children have had so much fun this week taking part in all sorts of Halloween themed fun including ice play, Halloween baking, making potions, turning each other into mummies and sensory activities including jelly, foam, spaghetti and cocoa powder play. We have also done lots of dancing, dressing up, face painting and party games such as musical bumps, pumpkin ball toss, cup stacking, pass the parcel and pin the 'Boo' on the ghost! Today Louise our cook has created some spooky strawberries and bananas and some pumpkin patch desserts to have with our party tea! The babies also made their own pumpkin soup to eat! The children have had a lovely time and we've had so much fun enjoying this Halloween period with them!🎃

🍂Preschool's outdoor learning adventures! 🍃
This morning we have taken part in a musical walk! We have taken different instruments along with us, we sang some songs and played some instruments all together. We practised playing them fast, slow, loud, quiet, up high and down low and the children were very good at naming the different instruments! 🎵🎵🎵

🎊The Preschool leavers party!🎊
All the children had a fantastic time at our festival themed leavers party! We had lots of different games and activities going on including hook a duck, tin can roll, face painting, photo booth, musical statues/bumps and pass the parcel! We then had a picnic with a tasty party tea and finished off with a disco! Its been an absolute pleasure watching all the children grow and flourish into the children they are today, we are so excited for everyone to start their next adventure of going to school, we will miss everyone lots!🎉

This morning we have been on a lovely walk through the fields to the stream and we have released the frogs into their new home! The children enjoyed walking through the long grass, going across the bridge and climbing up the steps whilst looking at the flowers along the way! We talked about the life cycle of the frog and the environment they live in! 🐸

In preschool we have recently got some tadpoles. We have spent the last few weeks learning about the life cycles of frogs and how tadpoles turn into frogs! Today we had a very special visit from Freddie the frog! The children enjoyed hopping around the garden, taking part in a frog races and making frog sounds!🐸

🐣🐥We currently have 6 chicks that have hatched! Preschool have been busy this week so far creating chick faces, life cycle pictures and observing our chicks as they hatch and grow stronger.🐥🐣
