Tomorrow we have our annual HS Sports Day!

Family and friends are invited to come and cheer the pupils on!

P7 & this years leavers are invited to join us for the day.

P1/2: High Jump in the games hall

P3 onwards: Football pitch for all other events

Pupils should come to school in pe kit and be prepared for a day outdoors with their clothing and footwear.

We will have normal break and lunch.

As part of their transition programme P7 pupils joined S1 pupils today for the first of two activity days at Ridgways Adventure School. The pupils all challenged themselves to reach new heights...and discovered some interesting marine creatures in the loch. NWSS pupils from P5-S1 will have two activity days at Ridgways Adventure this week thanks to funding from Kinlochbervie Community Energy (Rhiconich Hydro Turbine).

This week, some of our senior pupils took a trip to the remote Summer Isles, to develop their work experience, and to reflect on themselves. They had opportunities to do hands-on jobs such as gardening, path building, working with ponies, barista skills, and weaving tweed. As well as this, they had self reflection sessions, and inspirational talks from a variety of people. In their downtime they enjoyed delicious food, a movie night on board the Davenham, and group games. Overall, it was an enjoyable, fulfilling, and successful experience, and the students have taken many important things away with them for the future!

NWSS Primary Sports Day 2026. What a great day ! Some exceptional high jump this morning which was really exciting to see. Well done to all our amazing athletes today- you all gave your very best and supported each other so well. Great to have a crowd of enthusiastic parents and family members to cheer the children on. A huge congratulations to DJ and Isla for winning this year's athletics trophies...and to Laxford House for winning the house shield.

Just a reminder that we have a no phones in class policy - if a teacher sees a phone out they are to ask the pupil to put it away, if the pupil continues to ignore the teacher then the phone will be handed to a member of the leadership team. If the behaviour continues we will begin to phone home to ask parents/carers to collect the phone from the school office.
