I was sat on my laptop, between bouts of Daddy duties, unaware that my daughters were secretly making me some pictures. They've always done this, but it means more now than it ever did before.

They might not realise how much they raise me up; when they come to meet our maker they will see just how much light they shine on my heart, and more importantly on his.

Hebrews, 4.13

Today we rescued a mouse that dropped from the roof. How it survived the fall is beyond me. Girls took immediate action in making a home for it and saying prayers, and reading it Bible stories. I thought it would be dead within the hour, blood coming from its mouth and unable to move. Slowly but surely 'Lucky' (as we affectionately named them) is now walking around. Lucky might not be so lucky or last until morning, but heck he's been shown some love in his last innings 🐭

Love these girls. So much faith and care for the natural world.

Proud Dad.

God served me well with these two spirited angels.

There's a lesson in every moment.

When you're in a rut, and everything seems stacked against you, it's amazing what love can come from out of nowhere.

Even for a mouse.

Just be sure to land in the right place.

10-15mins, nothing taxing.

Every morning.

No.2 daughter will hopefully follow suit in years to come 🙏

Today has significant meaning.

9/9, and this year (2026).

Tomorrow night is a new moon.

Those who know.

Many are suffering currently. So many. So so many people.

Tonight, before midnight, you have the opportunity to finish it.

To leave a chapter behind.

To build a new one.

It's no coincidence.

Sounds gobbledegook, unless you're in tune with a little more in this world...

Many have been going through a shift this year. Perhaps even the last few years.

Suffering and growth.

Awakening on a higher level.

With baggage still being carried.

A client said to me once, in this life many of us are walking through a ravine, whilst most are walking by the seaside eating ice-creams.

A wonderful analogy.

She's in her 80s.

Nothing in life is easy for those trying to grow.

For those wanting to learn and help others.

To move forwards.

Truly.

Someone said to me back in July, "you shouldn't mix your personal life with your business."

I replied "my personal life is my business!"

Pun intended.

I've always worn my heart on my sleeve. Engaged with others. Tried to do what I can for others. Especially as a coach. It's the most fundamental part of the coaching process, enabling growth through effective dialogue and practice.

Life taught me this, nothing else.

Clients will sit or speak with me and pour their souls out, as I engage with them and help them to overcome debilitating ailments, manage their life/lifestyles better, or simply up their ante, in order to train optimally for their health and performance. I counsel clients just as I've received counselling myself.

My life is my way of life.

It's who I am.

I know no different.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ever.

Anyone who's ever met my girls will tell you that they are the same. They epitomise me, my values, and my approach to life. Driven. Joyful. Loving. Caring. Speaking their minds always. Foundations that hopefully now can't be broken by life in future.

If you want to know what someone is truly like, then meet their children.

I said right back before my first child was born, that if they turned into a little sh*t (or a big sh*t depending how you look at it) then that would be on me. My responsibility.

Some things, however, are out of our control. Maybe out of our capacity, influence, or ability to handle. So we need to reach out. We need to talk. We need to express ourselves.

So, if anyone ever tells you to keep your stuff to yourself, or not to mix it in work, tell them that Al Hadnett said and has always proven otherwise.

Slightly off topic...

If you have listened to Michael Jackson's music, and I mean truly felt it, and understood the lyrics, you will understand why he was always under attack.

An upbringing that was beyond traumatic. Yet he built himself into a bastion for humanity, despite the repeat attacks on his soul.

A good man.

An example.

An angelic soul.

A saviour for so many.

I don't believe for a moment that he died.

I don't even entertain the negative press and accusations.

Time is a great warrior.

The film Michael only scratches the surface. His albums and music tell you all you need to know.

When you go through hell, you eventually come out the other side.

Time. Patience.

Never believe the stories, the truth eventually prevails, for those willing to listen, and connect.

Su***de awareness month should be rebranded to awareness year, for men.

Male su***de rates are an abomination.

Especially middle aged males.

Praise the Dads.

Praise the men of this world.

All men are created in God's image.

Honour them.

Love them.

Respect them.

Communicate with them.

Hear them.

Heal them.

Never ever sh*t on them.

Then see what magic you get in return!

A child without their father is lacking massively. This isn't a competition, it's a statement of fact.

Seen, lived it, breathed it, felt it, am it.

Will always be it.

Best job in the world.

Praise be to God.

What I've learnt from many male friends in the past few months of reaching out has made me realise that I am not alone in suffering. Many of us have had the same experiences, similar journeys, and the same battles. We have a lot to learn, and a lot of work to do to here. Check-in on your male friends, especially Dads and middle aged men. Without the support I've had recently I'd not be where I am, and wouldn't be aware of just how vast the same issues I suffer span across my demographic. I've had people offload on me all my life, and I've always been happy to listen and help where I can. Even now.

Never more than now.

It's so good to talk, but even better to be in an environment where you can actually talk and communicate with basic human decency, and people willing to listen and communicate on the level.

Rise up.

Never judge a book by its cover.

This photo was taken on a very dark day. I smiled for the selfie, yet the story here was one of suffering on a level beyond the 6000ft ascent I had just completed during a 10-mile non-stop jaunt on two feet, over rocky terrain, from Montroc deep in the Chamonix valley, up to 'Le Brevent' summit, in the Aiguille Rouges of the French Alpes.

A place I've had so many great adventures and fond memories over the years, taking friends, groups, students, and clients, climbing, trail running, mountaineering, and all that fun stuff...

I took this photo knowing full well it would always remind me of a time of incredible hardship; mentally, physically, and spiritually. I've done this a lot in life, along with video diaries and journals, for reflection.

To be present, even for a moment during the mayhem, takes a lot of willpower.

I can never go back here until I'm healed, rebuilt, and strong enough. Maybe with my daughters, because there is so much I still wish to achieve in this world. Especially here.

All in good time.

Thank you heavenly father for giving me eyes to see, ears to hear, and hands to feel the weight when it begins to lift.

Some may put me down. Others will look down. Me, I'm just sharing my journey for those who need to never feel alone in their fight for good.

I have a long road ahead, but have good people on this journey with me. They are my lesson. Good people in this life are so very hard to come by, and they always have faith. Some don't even know it, yet.
