🍎 Healthy Snacks at Di**le 🍌

As we prepare for the new school year, we would like to remind families about our approach to healthy snacks at break time.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 benefit from the government’s School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, which provides eligible children with a free portion of fruit or vegetables each school day.

We therefore ask that chocolate, sweets and crisps are not brought into school as break-time snacks. We want to encourage healthy choices that help our children feel energised, focused and ready to learn. 💙

🍏 Children can enjoy the free healthy snack provided at school, or families are welcome to send in their own suitable healthy alternative if they wish.

🥜 Please remember: ALL snacks brought in from home MUST be nut-free. This is extremely important in helping us keep children and staff with allergies safe.

Thank you for supporting us in keeping Di**le a healthy, happy and safe place to learn! 🦆💙

🥜 We are a nut-free school 🥜

A polite reminder to all parents and carers that any products containing nuts must not be brought into school.

We have children and staff with food allergies, and even a small amount of an allergen can pose a serious risk. By keeping nut-containing products out of school, we can help make Di**le a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. 💙

Thank you for your understanding, support and cooperation in keeping our whole school community safe. 🦆💙

The guide explores:
• Restoring sleep and morning routines gradually
• Creating predictability through clear expectations
• Preparing school essentials in advance
• Encouraging responsibility in age-appropriate ways

🌳 Can you help our Forest School? 🌳

Our lovely Mrs Perry has been working incredibly hard throughout the summer holidays, helping to keep our school looking fantastic while also adding lots of new and exciting things ready for the autumn term! 🍂💙

Her latest mission is to make our Forest School area an even more exciting and welcoming place for our children to learn, explore, create and relax. 🌿🐞

We are currently on the lookout for a few items to help us develop the area:

🪑 Outdoor tables, chairs, benches or suitable seating for children and adults
🌧️ Waterproof tablecloths for our outdoor tables
🌱 Child-safe digging and gardening tools
🛞 Children’s wheelbarrows

If you have any of these items that you no longer need and would be happy to donate to our school, we would be incredibly grateful. Pre-loved items are absolutely welcome as long as they are safe and suitable for our children. ♻️💙

Please send us a message via our page if you think you may be able to help.

A huge thank you to Mrs Perry for all of her hard work behind the scenes this summer. We can’t wait for the children to get back and enjoy everything she’s been working on! 🌳🍂✨

🎒 School Uniform Reminder👔

Our uniform helps to promote a sense of belonging and pride in our school community while ensuring consistency for all children. Please make every effort to ensure your child's uniform meets our policy for September.

🌻 They’ve finally bloomed!🌻

After surviving a severe heatwave ☀️, a squirrel attack 🐿️ and plenty of other obstacles along the way, we’re delighted to say that some of the sunflowers planted by Year One have finally bloomed in Miss Jones’s garden!🌻💛

They certainly took their time, but we think they were worth the wait! 🥰 We hope you’re as pleased to see them as we are. 🌻✨

Yesterday we celebrated our wonderful Di**le Ducks Preschool Graduation!🎓💙

What a lovely afternoon it was as we celebrated everything our amazing children have achieved this year. We sang some of our favourite songs, looked back at lots of special photos from our time in Di**le Ducks, and shared some of our happiest memories together.

Each child was proudly presented with their graduation certificate scroll by Ms Heather– a very special moment for everyone. We then enjoyed celebrating with families over delicious biscuits and beautiful graduation cakes, kindly made by Mrs Wilkinson! Thank you so much for helping to make the day so special.

We are incredibly proud of every single one of our graduates. Watching you grow in confidence, make new friends and learn so many new skills has been a privilege. We know you are all more than ready for your next adventure in Reception, and we can't wait to see all that you achieve.

Congratulations, Di**le Ducks Class of 2026 – we will miss you all! 🦆💙🎓
