A message from Debbie, our owner and founder:
Dear Parents and Carers,
After 28 wonderful years of owning and running Play Box Nursery, the time has come for me to begin a new chapter and enjoy a well-earned retirement.
From the beginning of the new academic year in September, ownership of Play Box Nursery will transfer to Play Box 1998 Ltd, with my son, Rob Mason, taking over as the new director - Play Box has always been and will always remain a family-run nursery, with Rob and my daughter Tor remaining a huge part of the running of the setting.
You all of course already know Rob, who has been part of Play Box for many years and has worked closely alongside both me and our staff team. Together, we have carefully planned this transition over a long period to ensure it is as smooth as possible for everyone.
Most importantly, I want to reassure you that the wonderful team who care for your children every day will remain the same. Lianne and Naomi will continue as our fantastic and dedicated Nursery Managers, Claire and Tor will remain as our brilliant Deputy Managers, and our amazing practitioners will continue to provide the love, care and education that Play Box has always been known for.
The relationships our staff build with your children are at the heart of everything we do, and that won't be changing. Your children will continue to be welcomed each day by the same familiar faces, enjoy the same routines, and experience the same caring, nurturing environment that has always been so important to me.
Although I am retiring from ownership, I won't be disappearing completely! You'll still see me around the nursery from time to time, and I'm looking forward to popping in, seeing the children and catching up with many of you.
Looking back over the last 28 years fills me with enormous pride. It has been a privilege to watch generations of children grow, learn and flourish, and to build such wonderful relationships with so many families. Play Box has always been much more than a nursery to me – it has been a huge part of my life, and I will always treasure the memories we have made together.
As I begin my retirement, I do so knowing that Play Box is in safe hands. The values that have always been at the heart of the nursery will continue, supported by the same dedicated team who have helped make it such a special place for so many years.
Thank you for all of your support over the years, for trusting us with your children, and for being such an important part of the Play Box family. I wish you and your families every happiness for the future, and I look forward to seeing many of you whenever I pop back in.
