My recent time at Bayswater Liverpool was a powerful reminder of what growth looks like in real time.
I saw international students choosing courage over comfort. I saw people speaking up, backing themselves and giving something new a try. I saw the kind of growth that only happens when people are willing to step forward.
Working in a second language can feel intimidating. That is why every contribution in the room mattered. Every answer, every question and every moment of participation was a step in the right direction.
Confidence is rarely built in silence. It is built by doing. By trying. By staying in the game long enough to improve.
Thank you to Lenka Bayman for the invitation and for creating such a welcoming environment for learning.
And thank you to German Ucar for recording the moments that made the sessions special.
Days like this remind me why I love this work. Helping people find their voice never gets old.

Most communication does not fail because of lack of effort.
It fails because, at the key moment, the message does not land.
At this yearโs IMEX Frankfurt, Jose Ucar will be exploring what it really takes to communicate with impact, especially in environments where attention is limited and expectations are high.
A special thank you to the wider IMEX team and everyone who has contributed to creating an event of this scale and quality.
He will be delivering two sessions.
This session focuses on how communication shapes the attendee experience, and why connection is not a soft skill but a strategic one.
Here, the focus shifts to those high-pressure moments where the stakes are higher and the margin for error is smaller.
Both sessions are designed to be practical, grounded, and immediately applicable.
If you are attending IMEX Frankfurt, make time for one or both.
And if you see Jose there, do not hesitate to come over and start a conversation.

Last Friday was special.
Iโm truly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the international student community at Bayswater Liverpool.
The two sessions were electric.
So much energy, openness and willingness to step forward, speak up and grow.
Presenting in a second language is not easy. But what I saw in that room was courage, curiosity and commitment.
A big thank you to all the students for showing up fully, engaging and embracing the experience.
Thank you, Lenka Bayman, for the invitation and for creating such a supportive learning environment.
And thank you, Germรกn Ucar La Salvia, for capturing some fantastic moments throughout the day.
Moments like these remind me why I do what I do.
Itโs all about IMPACT๐

BJJ lessons at 44
Iโve always been into martial arts, and after postponing it for years, I finally decided to start BJJ in September 2025.
Here are some of the lessons Iโm learning along the way:
๐ฅIโm learning to control my ego and let go of the outcome every time I spar, focusing instead on the long-term game.
If I want to keep training, I need to manage my intensity and balance it with consistency.
๐ฅLike never before, Iโm paying close attention to my body. Taking care of it is no longer optional if I want to stay in this for the long run.
Regular stretching and mobility are becoming essential, along with some weight training to strengthen muscles and joints.
And even though the sport is physically tough, managing my self-talk and developing the right mindset can be even tougher.
For now, Iโm loving the journey, and Iโm doing everything I can to stay at it.
Thank you Marc, Clare, Ray, Marley and the rest of the amazing Kingston BJJ community.
If thereโs something youโve been postponingโฆ start.
Itโs hard, yes. But even more than that, itโs incredibly rewarding.
Happy Easter ๐ฃ everyone ๐
Hello lovely people,
Iโm delighted to share this masterclass on impactful communication with you.
It brings together practical tools and techniques Iโve refined over the years, working with different audiences, industries, and cultures. My intention is simple: to help you communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and connection when it matters most.
If you find it valuable, Iโd love to hear your thoughts. And if someone in your network could benefit from it, please feel free to pass it on.
Thank you for being here and stay in touch

It all started on Monday 16th February at 10 am, when I had the opportunity to support, inspire, and motivate the future generation of professionals at the Fashion Retail Academy.
Over four days, from Monday to Thursday, it was a genuine pleasure to work closely with the students and share my insights on presenting with confidence in todayโs business landscape, alongside practical feedback and personal stories.
As I like to say. I am here thanks to the incredible people in my life, and I am committed to being there for young professionals who are ready to challenge themselves and pursue continuous improvement.
A BIG Thank You to Manpreet Azad, Dr Kat Franke, Laura Holme, Thomai Papathanasiou and Simbi Harding for the invitation and for making the experience so special. Until the next one ๐

Pequeรฑos grandes placeres โ๏ธ๐๐ป
The first few seconds of speaking are often the most challenging. They set the tone for everything that follows.
At IMEX, I shared how I think about impact in communication. Not as putting on a show, but as being intentional, present, and focused on the audience. Performance matters, but only when it serves connection and positive influence.
For me, communication always comes back to people. How we show up, how intentional we are, and what we choose to leave with others.
I hope you enjoy it ๐
