Jose Ucar Speaks

Jose Ucar has been shortlisted for 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳 at the Keystone Awards.

This recognition reflects his continued work supporting organisations in developing stronger communication, leadership, and workplace culture through practical and engaging training.

Most communication does not fail because of lack of effort.

It fails because, at the key moment, the message does not land.

At this year’s IMEX Frankfurt, Jose Ucar will be exploring what it really takes to communicate with impact, especially in environments where attention is limited and expectations are high.

He will be delivering two sessions.

The first, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵: 𝘌𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, takes place on 𝟭𝟵 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟰:𝟬𝟱 at 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗙𝟮𝟲 – 𝗠𝗣𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗖𝗖𝗔, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟵𝟬𝟭𝟯, 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟵. This session focuses on how communication shapes the attendee experience, and why connection is not a soft skill but a strategic one.

The second, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘴, happens on 𝟮𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬 at 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗙𝟮𝟲 – 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟵𝟬𝟬𝟰, 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟵. Here, the focus shifts to those high-pressure moments where the stakes are higher and the margin for error is smaller.

Both sessions are designed to be practical, grounded, and immediately applicable.

Last Friday was special.

I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the international student community at Bayswater Liverpool.

The two sessions were electric.
So much energy, openness and willingness to step forward, speak up and grow.

Presenting in a second language is not easy. But what I saw in that room was courage, curiosity and commitment.

A big thank you to all the students for showing up fully, engaging and embracing the experience.

Thank you, Lenka Bayman, for the invitation and for creating such a supportive learning environment.

And thank you, Germán Ucar La Salvia, for capturing some fantastic moments throughout the day.

Moments like these remind me why I do what I do.

It’s all about IMPACT🌎

BJJ lessons at 44

I’ve always been into martial arts, and after postponing it for years, I finally decided to start BJJ in September 2025.

Here are some of the lessons I’m learning along the way:

🥋I’m learning to control my ego and let go of the outcome every time I spar, focusing instead on the long-term game.

🥋If I want to keep training, I need to manage my intensity and balance it with consistency.

🥋Like never before, I’m paying close attention to my body. Taking care of it is no longer optional if I want to stay in this for the long run.

🥋Regular stretching and mobility are becoming essential, along with some weight training to strengthen muscles and joints.

🥋And even though the sport is physically tough, managing my self-talk and developing the right mindset can be even tougher.

For now, I’m loving the journey, and I’m doing everything I can to stay at it.

If there’s something you’ve been postponing… start.
It’s hard, yes. But even more than that, it’s incredibly rewarding.

It all started on Monday 16th February at 10 am, when I had the opportunity to support, inspire, and motivate the future generation of professionals at the Fashion Retail Academy.

Over four days, from Monday to Thursday, it was a genuine pleasure to work closely with the students and share my insights on presenting with confidence in today’s business landscape, alongside practical feedback and personal stories.

As I like to say. I am here thanks to the incredible people in my life, and I am committed to being there for young professionals who are ready to challenge themselves and pursue continuous improvement.
