Do you organise or attend any music activities in Hull?
If so, can you help us by filling this 10-minute survey?
This study from the University of Hull aims to find out about music activities in Hull. Responses will help to: (1) create an online map and digital database of these activities; (2) find out more about how people access these; and (3) understand what is available and identify any gaps.
More details and link to survey (please share widely with your network!): https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/hull/mesh2

Hidden Sounds - 12/11/25 - Free Entry
Sounds are everywhere.
Some are obvious.
Some are hidden.
Some are forgotten.
Some are ignored.
Back for the third instalment, Hidden Sounds unearths previously unheard or ignored sounds to weave an improvised electronic soundscape that floats between delicate microworlds and uncompromising heavy industrial weight.
Sounds derived from secret locations, objects left for dead, and always-on systems operating just below our radar – watching, protecting, communicating.
This collective of improvising electronic musicians (University Staff) each brings their own palette of sounds to the table (quite literally) and, together, they create a unique, never-to-be-repeated performance.
and Out of the Box is a partnership between Hull Music Service, J-Night, University of Hull and Hull City Council Arts Unit. For the latest news about all festival shows please visit www.hulljazzfestival.co.uk

Living Coast is an exhibition of art, music, film, poetry and spoken word about the people, land and sea of Yorkshire’s South Holderness region.
Spurn Point is the southern-most tip of the East Yorkshire coastline whose 700-year history of human habitation came to an end in 2023. This exhibition presents artworks created during a project that took place between January and May 2024, which explored the unique entanglement of the transient geography and human occupancy of the ever-shifting South Holderness coast.
Through interviews with current and past residents (including farmers, artists, historians and ecologists), and working alongside the Spurn Bird Observatory, researchers from the University of Hull have created a series of artistic responses that explore the rapid geogogical, social and environmental transformations of the unique landscape of South Holderness
