We had some visitors earlier this week, our lovely friends from Life Skills Hub Limited!

Life Skills Hub offer an amazing range of provisions for young people and we’re loving being able to work in partnership. Keep up the good work! 💕

Our Director Luke and Marketing Manager Liam had a wonderful morning yesterday visiting Heidi at the newly refurbished building at The Warren Project in Hull City Centre.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour around and the productive conversations around how we might link in together!

Volunteers are the backbone of so many organisations, and this week we are taking the time to appreciate all you do. 💪

With such a wide range of opportunities as a volunteer, you can build your skills in so many disciplines to help get you to where you want to be, bypass the whole 'how do I get a job with no experience' conundrum, or just give you a purpose to get out of the house and try something new whilst supporting a good cause. 🌟

If you've been thinking about how you could offer your time for organisations in need but don't know where to get started, if you're 16-29 and live in Hull and the East Riding, feel free to reach out to see how we can help. 🥰

Are you interested in starting a career in Health and Care but don’t have much experience yet? We can help you take that first step. 💫

We work with some brilliant organisations offering volunteering roles where you can build real skills, gain confidence, and experience what it’s like to work in Health and Care settings. 👩‍⚕️

✨These opportunities look great on future job applications and help you stand out.

✨You’ll also have access to training that prepares you for volunteering, so you feel ready and supported from day one.

✨You will also be able to access support throughout your volunteering placement, and if you might need any workplace adjustments to get the best out of the experience then we can help you work that out too.

If you’re curious about what’s available, get in touch and explore the opportunities waiting for you. Drop us a message through socials, email [email protected] or call 01482 219357 to find out more.

One of our young people, Steph, has written and released her own book of poetry! A Big Taboo, written about Steph's own experience of mental health struggles, is a beautiful collection of poems exploring topics that can be difficult to talk about.

We have watched Steph's journey throughout the process of creating her book, and we are immensely proud of all the hard work she has put into it. We're so excited to see where it goes! Blooming g'won Steph! 🎉💪📚

If you want a copy yourself, it is available in physical or Kindle eBook form via https://a.co/d/042qJxWZ and for the sale of each copy, £1 will be donated to the mental health charity MIND. 😊
