FS2 had a great time designing, making and testing their own boats. They had to explore materials to see which were waterproof and they found foil was waterproof and flexible.

Year 1 had a wonderful day on their trip to the farm this week!
All children showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day, asking lots of thoughtful questions and engaging with everything they saw. They learned so much about crops, including how they are planted, grown, and harvested, and were excited to share their new knowledge and experiences with their friends.
The children showed fantastic Bude standards and made us very proud! π

6SM had a busy afternoon at Kid Alert this afternoon. The children took part in a range of engaging workshops, learning how to keep themselves safe over the summer holidays. They heard about water safety with the RNLI, staying safe around railways with Northern Rail, electrical safety with Northern Power, road safety and more - there was so much valuable knowledge shared.

π± Online Safety Update
At school, we are proud of the strong offer we provide around online safety education. Children learn regularly about how to stay safe, how to communicate respectfully and what to do if something online makes them feel uncomfortable.
However, we are seeing an increasing number of reports involving pupils using social media platforms to call one another names or send unkind messages outside of school. Although these incidents happen at home, they understandably spill over into school life and can have a significant impact on childrenβs wellbeing.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind families of the age restrictions for the most commonly used platforms:
WhatsApp β 16+
TikTok β 13+
Snapchat β 13+
Instagram β 13+
Facebook β 13+
These age limits are set by the companies themselves for safeguarding reasons.
We kindly ask parents and carers to monitor their childβs online activity closely and ensure they are only accessing ageβappropriate platforms. Working together, we can help keep all children safe online and support them to use technology responsibly.
Thank you for your continued support.
