Interested in functional training competition but not sure hyrox is for you? Here's a few reasons I chose deka. 💪

Of course, all jokes aside all movement is great and if you love hyrox that's awesome but this post is for the people who want to get into competitions but don't like the idea of a hyrox. 🏃

Until recently I didn't know other functional training competitions existed either so I'm here to spread the word. If you want more information drop me a message ✉️

And don't forget, I run a functional training class every Monday @ 7pm if you're interested in giving it a go 🏋️‍♀️

Tonights the night! Our first functional fitness class!

7pm tonight @ PureGym Clough Road

Tonights focus is on ski and row. Each week we'll have a new focus. An introduction to the exercises, instruction on how to improve each exercise and circuits to support the included muscle groups.

Don't forget, first session is free and you can even get yourself a free 3 day pass to PureGym at the moment 💪

So who will I be seeing there tonight? 👀

A cheeky round up of what it took to get us to race day over the past 8 weeks of training.

Of course we can't forget the unwaivering support from Jen - The Strong Woman’s Coach. Believing in us when we didn't believe in ourselves and pushing us even when we wanted to tell her where to shove it...

And of course a massive thank you to all at Witness The Fitness | Nottingham for having us and for your support on the day. You guys were the best and made our first deka the best experience we could ask for ❤️

And of course thank you to our amazing judge Gemma Fenyn for keeping us going throughout the race 💪

Another competition down. What a great day as always, thank you so much for for having us!

After a knee injury it was up in the air if I'd even compete but we gave it a shot and it was definitely worth it

Squat: 90kg ⚪⚪⚪

Bench: 82.5kg ⚪⚪⚪ (Prev PB 75kg)

Deadlift: 140kg ⚪⚪⚪ (Prev PB 125kg)

Just goes to show, you don't know till you try. So glad I went in the end 💪
