HHP Widening Participation

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, each day we'll be highlighting an apprenticeship standard that staff may be interested in learning more about.

To kick off our 'Standard in the Spotlight' we're focusing on our fantastic building services and engineering colleagues across the partnership, who literally keep us all going. Colleagues in this area may be interested in the the Building Services Engineering Service & Maintenance Engineer (ST0061) standard for their CPD.

This 48‑month programme (plus 3‑month EPA) is fully funded through our Trusts' Apprenticeship Levies and ideal for colleagues involved in maintaining systems like heating, ventilation and water supplies. You’ll learn about H&S, sustainability, fault finding, decommissioning, teamwork, and more.

Completion can lead to progression routes such as Level 4 or even a Level 6 Building Services Design Engineering degree.

Fantastic session for with Y10 students from Withernsea High School undertaking our ‘Welcome to Simulation’ session at Hull Royal Infirmary this morning. Students participated in simulated ‘messy ward’ activities; focusing on the importance of communication skills, respect, the patient experience, and infection prevention and control. Thank you to the teachers for bringing them over, we had a great morning
