Where to start…

When we were approached about having a fun day, I’m not going to lie, I was slightly sceptical 🤨 Getting the ring there, setting it up, someone getting a bouncy castle and DJ.. the buffet.. it’s a right mission! BUT it was a few months ago so we said ok 🆗 👀🤣

Roll on to the start of this week and I was thinking what have I got us into 😴 However, how wrong I was (and I’m very happy to admit it). Thank you so much to Becki and Adam at the Duke of Cumberland in Ferriby. They have been amazing. We will most definitely be.back 🤝

A HUGE thank you to R V Productions and Joe and Rachel. They are literally absolute legends ⭐️ I couldn’t recommend them more highly! Really chuffed with them being involved.

I’d like to thank Lisa, Scotty, Rich, Will and Riley for helping all the way through with the set up and take down (and all of the boxers/families who helped at the end). Thank you to chef Nige for the buffet 🧑‍🍳

Awesome as always to have Ken there helping with all the boxers 🫡 We certainly make some team!

I’m so happy with how the day went, everyone seemed to have a great time, we made quite a bit of money to take our kids to a box cup and it all went off without a hitch! I’m going to chill now before tomorrow’s championships… have a safe night tonight Ali (who is boxing down in Ipswich)…

Next stop October 24th and Vulcan Home Show… CANT WAIT 🤩

So tonight I went with some of the team to Girobizzle’s 40th bash 🤩

A fund raiser, to firstly help them gain funds to continue the amazing work they do supporting the people of West Hull and secondly to celebrate their achievements over the years 🎉🥳

These days when it’s so difficult to find funding to keep undertaking vital work, for them to be in their 40th year is especially impressive. At Vulcan we are in our 15th year and it’s always been a constant battle to keep the money coming in. So massive respect goes out to their team and in particular, their CEO, Martin Newman for keeping such a grassroots project going for so long (and flourishing!).

This is part of a year of celebrations for them that has seen a large number of free events for the general public and I am told there are more to follow (keep an eye out 👀). So great to see so many of our partners from the West Hull and St Andrews area. We really are building something 🤝

On a personal note it was so good to be able to have both Vulcan and Mitchell running tonight and full of staff whilst we were able to attend this event. A real sign of the times for us! I just wish we had been able to take everyone! 🫡

So thank you for an awesome evening Giroscope and happy birthday!! 🎂 …here’s to the next 40 ✌️
