Yesterday, our Year 2 Butterflies worked incredibly hard as part of our Project Evolve scheme to create a supportive sunflower, filled with the names of people they could speak to if they ever felt bullied online.

A fantastic way to remind everyone that they are not alone and there is always someone they can talk to. 💛

Today, after reading “Pumpkin Soup” we became pumpkin explorers! Team Robin used spoons to scoop out the pumpkin seeds and transfer them into bowls. Once we had collected all the seeds, we practised our counting skills. We really enjoyed discovering what was hidden inside.

Our story this week The Same but Different too 📚We are looking closely how we can be the same and different at the same time. We are also learning simple fun games of matching including the classic game of snap.

Team Robin recommend the story ‘Room on the Broom’ for you to read at home, which links to our CUSP story this week ‘Pumpkin Soup’. We enjoyed how the characters showed kindness, friendship and teamwork to complete their task, from mending the witches broomstick to making pumpkin soup.

Team Robin worked hard by immersing themselves into the enrichment activities relating to our CUSP story this week ‘Pumpkin Soup’. We developed our fine motor skills by cutting out character masks and carried out observational drawings of pumpkins. We enjoyed re-telling the story using our small world suitcase and aimed high by making the colour orange.

Team Panda of 2026, (now Moles and Mice) loved seeing how the pumpkin seed, which they planted in the summer and was grown at Mrs Delves’ house has been harvested!
