The 2024 Mark Grand Lodge Investiture Promotions Meeting, held yesterday in the impressive Grand Temple at Freemasons' Hall, was a tremendous success. Warm congratulations to all who received their Grand Ranks, and we hope the time spent reconnecting with fellow Brethren was both enjoyable and fulfilling. A key moment of the meeting was the exciting announcement by M.B.F. President Archie: the Board of Trustees approved an additional Major Capital Grant of £750,000 to support Blood Bikes – England & Wales. This generous donation brings the total amount granted by the M.B.F. Trustees in 2024 to an impressive £3.6 million, making an already memorable day even more special.

Surprise Announcement Incoming soon! 🎉

The Mark Benevolent Fund has something BIG to share! Keep an eye out for the most thrilling announcement of the year! But before that, let’s send our best wishes to ParalympicsGB’s wheelchair rugby team! Go, Team GB!

The Wheelchair Rugby games will run from 29 August to 02 September 2024. Catch all the action live on Channel 4 or watch it later, on Channel4Sport’s YouTube channel.

Brethren just in case you are attending Lodges in Hull, especially Dagger Lane

This weekend is the start of 6 weekends of road closures from National Highways: Yorkshire of the A63 eastbound between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way (which includes the Ferensway off slip and on slip) as part of the A63 Castle Street Scheme.

The full weekend closures will be as follows. Each closure will be in place between 8pm on Friday to 6am the following Monday:

• 12-15 January
• 19 - 22 January
• 26 - 29 January
• 2 - 5 February
• 9 – 12 February
• 16 – 19 February
