What a week in Hull & Beverley! ☑️🎸

We’ve had the most amazing week of School of Rock at PQA Hull & Beverley!🤘🏼

And my absolute favourite thing about today? Watching our students perform with such absolute JOY for their biggest fans — their friends, families and loved ones. 💛

Seeing how much they can learn, achieve and grow in just one week never fails to amaze us. From the first rehearsal to stepping onto that stage today, they’ve worked SO hard and should be incredibly proud of themselves.

We’re so lucky to do what we do, with such amazing students and the best team! 🌍🎭

That's absolutely okay! Many of our students join feeling nervous. We create a warm, supportive environment where every child can build confidence at their own pace.

PQA is so much more than singing! Every student experiences Film & TV, Comedy & Drama and Musical Theatre, giving them the chance to discover what they enjoy most.

No experience? No problem! Our classes are designed for all abilities, and our teachers are there to support every student from day one.

👕 "What should they wear?"
Anything comfortable that they can move around in! There's no need for specialist clothing for a taster session—just come ready to have fun.

Our PQA Hull PM cast have been working hard in rehearsals for Lights Camera Zapped!, and with every week the show is getting bigger, stronger and more exciting!

After the summer break, we'll be back in rehearsals with one goal in sight... His Majesty's Theatre in London's West End! 🌟

Next term, our students will take to one of the world's most iconic stages to perform as part of the PQA West End, and we couldn't be prouder of everything they've achieved so far!

The countdown is officially on, and we can't wait to see our amazing cast light up the West End! 💛🎬🎤

TENURE BADGES!!⭐

Congratulations to our amazing students who collected their tenure badges last half term for being at PQA for a whole year or more! We awarded 1 years all the way to 5 years at PQA!!🤩🫶

Last weekend our AM Academy students proudly shared part of their Super Swing project performances! 🌟 This project has celebrated the true heroes of theatre – the understudies – and the incredible skills they need to step into any role at a moment's notice.

Throughout the project, students have challenged themselves to learn choreography quickly, observe rehearsals carefully, and be ready to jump in and support one another whenever needed. These are invaluable skills that build confidence, adaptability, teamwork, and professionalism. 👏

All of this is the perfect preparation for our West End rehearsals next academic year, where these skills will be put into practice during rehearsals for Lights Camera Zapped!! 🎬✨ We can't wait to see our students support one another, rise to every challenge, and bring this exciting production to life!

Last weekend we continued preparing for our Script to Screen project, exploring how to bring dialogue to life on camera through engaging and authentic acting techniques. 🎥🎭

The session focused on developing natural screen performances, helping students understand how acting for the camera differs from acting on stage. These skills will provide a fantastic foundation as we get ready to begin rehearsals for our West End Film project next academic year! 🌟

We can't wait to see these skills shine on screen! 👏🎬
