*And they’re off! ✍️📚*

Year 11 began their first Walking Talking Mock sessions this week with Miss O’Sullivan and the English Team, working through English exam questions step by step.

These guided sessions help students practise exam techniques, build confidence and understand how to approach each question as they prepare for their GCSEs.

Miss O’Sullivan even channelled her inner pop star with her fabulous mic! 🎤✨ Her setlist? Exam strategies, top tips and a few reminders to read the question carefully!

An exciting step on the road to exam success—keep going, Year 11! 🌟

*Yorkshire Wildlife Park 🐾*

Over the last week, both of our Year 10 Animal Care groups have enjoyed visits to Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

We saw a lot of fascinating animals and had some great discussions around conservation and animal behaviours, bringing learning to life.

This gives our students a valuable introduction to topics that we will further explore in future lessons.

Thank you for representing the Academy so brilliantly 😊

*SPARX League Launch ⚡️*

Mr Pearson’s SPARX league launched today and he addressed all tutor groups this morning to congratulate everyone on such a brilliant start! We are so proud of the attitudes our students have shown to improving their maths and science score skills. Just look at these improved scores from last year!

Year 11 lead the way this week, but who will it be next time?

Keep it going! 💪 💪

The girls played very well in their netball competition winning 2 games and drawing 2.

This means they placed 2nd overall in their league. Well done girls!

*Year 8 Super League 🏉*

Liberty 22
Sirius West 24

Tries: Ufere (2) Barrett, Wilson
Goals: Smith (3)

Unfortunately a few too many errors in vital positions against a strong, well balanced Sirius West team.

We will learn and improve and look forward to playing against Malet Lambert.

Well done to all the boys involved representing the Academy!
