Personal Assistant (PA) for 4 year old boy with SEND.

Wage: £10.50p/h
Hours: 4.5 hours p/w (flexible and negotiable)
Holiday accrued and paid pro-rata.

I am looking for an outgoing, friendly, kind, and knowledgeable person to fulfil 4.5hrs a week to support my son to play, access the wider community, work on SEND targets and develop his social/communication skills.

Details about my child:

SEND:

∆ Speech and Language Delay
∆ Developmental Delay (unspecified)
∆ Sensory Processing Challenges
∆ Hypermobility
∆ Autism

My son is a curious, funny and loving little boy who loves all things paw patrol, trains, animals and numbers!
He can struggle with lots of physical activity and uses a disability buggy as needed/for long trips.

Role and responsibilities:

∆ 1:1 support
∆ Trips out to the wider community/events (expenses paid)
∆ Support communication using SLT interventions mirrored in school and at home.
∆ Have lots of fun!

Qualifications, experience and skills:

∆ Aged 18+
∆ Minimum level 2 in childcare (or working towards)
∆ Previous experience 3 years in childcare (or equivalent)
∆ Subject to satisfactory DBS check and references
∆ Advantage to have current child protection and safeguarding training
∆ Have knowledge of autism and sensory processing or willing to do training/learn
∆ Have experience with SEND children in some form.

Desirable:

Access to a car and a full clean driving license

∆ Adaptable and calm under pressure
∆ Confident and dedicated
∆ Reliable, open and honest.
∆ Excellent time keeping.

Just a reminder that the 4,000 word essay is due Thursday 2nd June by 4pm at the Social Work office (unless you have an extension). You need two copies of your essay, both with a front sheet. It does not need to be put through turn-it-in.
