Have the best summer everyone and we will see you in 7 weeks time! A massive good luck to our year 6s moving on to secondary. We would like to say an even bigger thankyou to our incredible head teacher who will be missed immensely and we hope he has a very relaxing, well deserved retirement.

Tonight we welcomed Hermione the hedgehog into our wonderful forest school habitat. Robin and Charlie helped rescue her a few weeks ago when she was looking poorly out in the day and took her to Holderness Hedgehog Hospital. Tonight she was ready for release so we decided our forest school would make a perfect home 💚

💛 We’re still smiling after our BBC Radio Humberside interview this morning! 🎙️
If you missed it live, we'd love for you to have a listen. We're on from 1 hour 13 minutes, just after the Bob Marley track. 😊
It was a wonderful opportunity to share the story of Paull Primary School and the journey we've been on to make mental health and wellbeing a priority for every child, every member of staff and our whole school community. We were also incredibly proud to talk about achieving the Gold Mental Health Award – a milestone that belongs to everyone who has supported us along the way.
A huge thank you to our amazing children, families, staff, governors and the wider community. Your encouragement, enthusiasm and belief in what we're trying to achieve makes all the difference. 💛
A special thank you to the team at BBC Radio Humberside for inviting us to share our story. We hope it encourages more conversations about the importance of children's mental health and wellbeing.

💛 What a day for Paull Primary School! 💛

Today has been one of those days that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

We are incredibly proud to share that Paull Primary School has officially been awarded the Gold Mental Health Champion School Award. This is an achievement that has taken over two years of dedication, teamwork and passion from our whole school community.

With more than 1,000 schools taking part in the programme nationally, and only 21 achieving Gold status, we are honoured to receive this recognition. Even more proudly, we are currently the only school in the East Riding of Yorkshire to hold this award.

Today also saw our amazing Mental Health Champions graduate after a fantastic year. They confidently led workshops for parents, sharing everything they have learnt and demonstrating the empathy, resilience and leadership they have developed along the way. They were an absolute credit to themselves and our school, and we couldn’t be prouder.

This award belongs to everyone who makes Paull Primary such a special place—our wonderful children, dedicated staff, supportive parents, governors and community partners. Together, we have created a culture where children know it’s okay to talk about their mental health, where kindness is valued and where everyone is encouraged to look after themselves and each other.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. This is a moment for our whole school community to celebrate. 💛

Don’t forget to look out for coverage in the Holderness Gazette, and if you’re up early tomorrow morning, tune in to BBC Radio Humberside at around 7:10am, where Mrs Holmes and our Mental Health Champions Co-ordinator will be talking about this fantastic achievement.

The children in year 3 and 5 worked really hard to research the life and career of Sir David Attenborough on Thursday afternoon. They then presented their research in these wonderful posters. I'm so proud of their efforts 😊
