Individuality is very important to us. There are many things which need to be the same - uniform, hair, shoes, respect, syllabus work - so we try to have fun in every lesson, giving each dancer the chance to express themselves freely, learning about who they are, what makes them tick, and that it's OK

Your hear it so often, my 'dance family', but it really is a thing. Here at LDPA we encourage all the things that make us a true dance family - kindness, support, sharing, helping, applauding, listening, togetherness - and yes, we LOVE our dance family!

Coordination doesn't come easily to everyone - dance and performing, from the very first steps and movements, improves and builds your child's coordination and spatial awareness.
Learning to dance with a partner, with all the steps, rhythms, arms and positions, in a team dance, is the ultimate challenge!

Confidence is another quality which not everyone possesses! Building a childs confidence is right at the top of our 'to do list'. Genres like Musical theatre build the belief in your ability to do 'a thing' and that belief transcends into every aspect of your child's life.

Spatial awareness means being aware of the space around you, where everyone else is in relation to you, and where obstacles or 'things' are. It involves knowing about personal space and being able to consider everyone's safety in a group or space. The skills they learn in our dance classes will apply to every aspect of their lives!
