LDPA

LDPA We are a long established dance school, teaching NPAA and IDTA Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Modern Jazz, Street, Musical Theatre, Ballroom and Latin.

Small, friendly, family feel classes, beginners aged 3.5 to professional levels This page is to introduce you to LOUISE DELL PERFORMING ARTS (formerly Lyndels Dancing Club)
We run fun, friendly, professional classes in all theatre and
most ballroom subjects. We work to high standards and love to see our pupils shining! We do IDTA grades and medals, and run shows annually. We operate mostly in Hessle and West Hull, but have branches at Eastfield Primary School too. Why don`t you come down to one of our classes and take a look? You will be made most welcome!

It is lovely when they chatter to us between (and during!) activities - particularly when it's their first lesson - because it means they feel safe, so they will learn more!
We have had quite a few new faces these last 2 weeks and it has been wonderful to meet everyone.
We do still have a couple of places left in beginner classes, so if you're looking for a dance school for your child, head over to our website to find the right class for you!

When things don't quite go according to plan...sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself 🤣

Musical Theatre warm ups should be fun, but still teach us skills for class AND life. Bibbity Bibbity Boo encourages listening skills and quick reactions. Being 'out' teaches us to accept when we weren't quite right and encourage those still 'in'
We spend longer on the practice, and less time on 'you're out' so no one is 'out' for long.
Learning how to emphasise words in a sentence to subtly change the meaning...the juniors tried 'I didn't do that' and 'who on earth are you'. The seniors tried 'I didn't say she stole my money' then discussed how changing the emphasis can subtly change someone's meaning by implying something else altogether. Well done guys!
We also found out the meaning of the zulu chant in 'Circle of Life' from Lion King. Do you know what it means?
