We've been a bit quiet on here but we're really excited to share an update!

The chassis is taking shape as both the front and rear end structures are nearly complete. The next stage is joining them together to create a unified space frame, which will create the basis of our car.

We’re hoping to share more soon, so keep an eye out for our next update!

Hi I’m Molly and this year I am team principal.

As Team Principal, my job is to ensure the team runs smoothly. I mostly work on things behind the scenes and overlook all team operations. I make sure documents are submitted and orders are paid. I organise team events and liaise with University staff.

Hi, my name is Wiktor and I am the team’s Chief Engineer.

My responsibilities include ensuring all systems and subsystems on the car are working together properly, as well as overlooking the general design and manufacture of the vehicle. I work closely with all the subsystem leads and University’s technical staff to make sure all plans are feasible and all designs are manufacturable.

Hi I'm Abbie and I'm leading the design and build of the cooling system this year!

Since this is the first time we're running an EV, I'm aiming to create an effective and cost effective cooling system, using the concept plans from last year as a guide.

Hi my name is Wilbur.

This year I’m the team’s powertrain lead. My role means that I am responsible for developing the powertrain systems, purchasing relevant components and integrating them to the rest of the car. Powertrain is the single biggest change for the vehicle this year as we oversee the transition to EV.

Hi, my name is Mateusz and I am the Vehicle Dynamics lead this year. I will be responsible for the design and manufacture of suspension, steering system and the brake system, as well as making sure those systems are properly integrated with the rest of the car.

Hi I’m Becca, you’ll be hearing a lot from me this year as I am the social media lead.

I aim to keep you updated on the teams progress through the year and also to bring you along to see all the added things we are doing as a team. I will also be updating social media when we are doing events so you guys can either come along in person or you can follow online and still be with us.

Over the coming days we will be bringing you all the team information that you need to know. These are the senior members within HERT. These posts will let you know more about the people so when you come see us during freshers week you will know a little bit more about us.

We cannot wait to see you guys soon at Hull Uni Freshers which runs from September 19th - 23rd, however if dates of fairs are scheduled to change we will let you know so keep checking.

What a week! Formula Student 2022 is complete and now it’s on to next year. Thanks to everyone who took their time to speak to us, it’s been a real learning experience for the team.

We had a brilliant track day (with the 2019 competition car) at this week! It was great fun!
