Busy Little Hands

We have had a brilliant day outside in the garden! We hope that the weather is making a change for the better! There was so much outdoor learning happening in all different areas!

On Wednesday to celebrate the World Cup, we will be dressing up, having a penalty shootout, face painting/wearing party glitter, winning trophies, playing football themed games and songs and listening to our football story! We can wait for you to join us in Red and White! Consent forms will be available to sign at the door on arrival for face-paint and glitter!

Today we enjoyed exploring our swamp tuff tray, its was slimy, slippery and wet! We found all sorts of things lurking and hiding amongst the leaves and plants!

This is how we feel at Busy Little Hands when the sun is shining! We love being outdoors to make the most of our outdoor provision, we continue our learning outdoors with climbing,scooping,measuring, pouring,exploring, investigating, mark making, building and role play amongst so much more! We love bringing the indoors out and vice versa. Even in the very wet summer weather we are currently having we are utilising our outdoor space as much as possible so don’t forget to pack a jacket and a spare change of bottoms!!

Here we are preparing our morning snack. We remembered to wash our hands, put on our aprons and use our safety knives and choppers on our chopping boards to cut up our fruit and vegetables ready for snack time.

🍓🍒🍌🍇The Children enjoyed continuing our learning about Healthy Eating by sorting our foods into groups and talking about why fruits and vegetables are good for us and help us to grow. Ruby our Level 2 Student had great fun joining them for this activity.🍓🍒🍌🍇

🫟 Today we enjoying messy fun without the mess to meet all our children’s needs! This promotes, early writing skills, fine motor skills and creativity as well as colour mixing. We used our fingers and hands in the main room and cars in the baby/toddler room!
This is definitely one to try at home, super simple but also super effective.🫟

We are always expanding and replacing our resources to meet the children’s needs and interests, but these have definitely been a favourite this week with our little ones. The play and learning opportunities they provide are endless. We cant wait to see what next week’s deliveries bring.

Today we enjoyed using the scoops to create our very own ice creams with our friends. This was an activity that everybody loved to join in with. Enriching our language skills talking about how ice cream feels, tastes and looks like as well as using our imagination and physical skills to create them.
