​Join the Hull & East Riding Deaf Children’s Group for a morning of fun, support, and connection! Whether you're a new family or a familiar face, everyone is welcome.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day for all the families & Happy Hands at Hull Deaf Centre for our Family Fun Day and The Deaf Chefs!

We all had a great day with Mr. Bubble, face painting, and fun outdoor garden activities. All the parents and grandparents loved The Deaf Chefs' burgers, and the day ended with a special McDonald's treat delivery for all the children! ☀️🍔🎉

We had a lovely morning visit at Hull Deaf Centre Happy Hands with a visit from 3D Care Parenting 🤟✨ 3D Care

🧏‍♀️ Making Bridlington Animal Park even more accessible! 🦜🦎

We’re delighted to announce that on 30th July and 17th August, all of our animal talks, shows and presentations will be accompanied by a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter.

At Bridlington Animal Park, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy learning about our incredible animals. We’re always looking for ways to make the park as inclusive and welcoming as possible, and we’re proud to be taking this step to better support our deaf and hard of hearing visitors.

Our interpreter has been absolutely amazing, spending many hours learning not only the signs needed for our presentations but also the unusual names of our exotic animals and the specialist terms used by our keepers. Their dedication means our talks will be engaging, accurate and enjoyable for everyone.

Whether you’re a regular visitor or planning your first trip, we’d love you to join us on these special days.
