Prime Mathematics Tutoring

Thank you so much to all of my wonderful students and families who I have said goodbye to this week.

It’s always such a bitter sweet time. As sad as it is to see these mathematicians for the last time (I’ve had some of them since they were in Y9!!), it fills me with joy to think how much they have progressed, and that they don’t need me anymore!

With paper 1 just around the corner (2 days!), make sure your child knows how to multiply decimals. If they don't, show them this. :)

Some great feedback from one of my student's parents' evening below! She won't want her picture posting, but here's a photo of how she feels after yesterday's comments.

"I'm really impressed with her this year, it's clear that she wants to do well, and I've moved her to the front of the class because she is an example of what I want people to be doing. I have to ask "does anyone apart from Freya have an answer?" because she has always got her hand up.

Right now we can't ask for anything more from her, she's doing brilliantly. She's... well I don't want to say star of the class, because I don't want it to seem like there's any favouritism going on, but it really seems like there is no holding her back."

Hello everyone! I have decided to start some online group GCSE lessons so that I can help more students with their maths.

Once these groups are full, that's me completely booked up until next June.

These lessons are suitable for anyone who isn't confident that they are going to achieve the grade they want in the summer next year, or if they want to exceed the grade they are expecting.

🌟Student Spotlight 🌟

This is Ayaan, and I believe he deserves a moment of recognition!

Ayaan is 11 years old, he is homeschooled but in school he would have just finished year 6. He is a keen and brilliant mathematician, but also one of the most humble and thoughtful young boys I’ve worked with.

Pictured is Ayaan holding just SOME (not even half) of the past papers he completed for revision, and also a photo outside the exam centre having just sat his mock exam earlier this year.

A few days ago Ayaan received his results for GCSE maths and unsurprisingly to me, but none the less outstandingly, received a grade 9 with a score of 231/240. This is a huge achievement for any student, but doing this 5 years early is just incredible.

He says: “I love maths because it’s full of patterns, logic, and problem solving. Every question is like a puzzle waiting to be solved. I’m so happy to have earned a grade 9 on my exam, but that’s only the start for me - I just want to keep learning!”
