We have started our new story today. We're Going on a Bear Hunt has already proved to be very popular so today has been all about bears...

Today we celebrated Pancake Day in F1. We used our new balance scales to explore 'heavier', 'lighter' and 'the same' and weighed out the ingredients carefully. The children really enjoyed mixing up the batter and liked eating them even more!

F1 is looking quite beautiful today, in readiness for our Valentine Stay & Play today 💕❤️🩷

Hunting for homes was a great success today and we even managed to avoid the rain! Lots of the children were able to use new words, such as bungalow, detached and terraced. They really enjoyed ticking off each style of house as we saw them. When we were back in the classroom, some of them had a go at building them too!

Lovely retelling of The Gingerbread Man in the small world area this morning.

Today we made ginger biscuits. They were a great success! All the children enjoyed following the recipe and mixing the ingredients together. Once they had been baked and cooled we all tried them. Just about everyone thought they were delicious! Florence then made her own later in the role play room too!
