The beauty of learning to play the guitar is it doesn't matter how old you are. I've taught people in their 50s, 60s and 70s and from my experience age makes no difference in your ability to pick it up and have a go (just ask my students I'm sure they'll comment on this).

One of the most common things I hear from people is "I wish I had picked it up when I was younger" I hear that from people who are in their 20s sometimes as well!

There's no age limit on learning to play the guitar, and the enjoyment you get from playing doesn't suddenly disappear just because you've hit a certain age.

So if you've been sitting on the fence about learning to play the guitar for years, or maybe you've recently retired and now have the time to give it a good go then this is your calling sign!

​When I first started this business, I never expected it to blossom into the incredible community it has become today; it’s evolved far beyond a simple guitar lesson filled with scales and chords.

Many of my students share that this is their favorite hour of the week - a vital slice of time just for themselves to escape the grind of work and life’s usual problems. It’s been moving to hear how these lessons have supported people’s mental health, providing a creative place where every session is customised to the individual. Whether that’s finally breathing life into songs they’ve had in their heads for years or geeking out together to dial in those legendary guitar tones.

I am beyond grateful for the genuine friendships that have grown out of the lessons, The laughs and banter we have, and it’s a privilege to be part of all of your musical journeys.

And so another Christmas comes around! Before I take a few days off I just wanted to say thank you to all of my amazing students, this is the best job in the world and it's because of you and all of the laughs we have all year round.

I'll be back doing lessons as usual from Sunday the 28th December and I look forward to meeting some new faces in January too. 🎸👍
