Every Word is a Baby Step Forward! 👣
Learning English isn't always easy. There will be days when the grammar feels confusing, the pronunciation tricky, and you might feel like you're not making progress.
But remember this: every single word you learn, every phrase you understand, every conversation you have – no matter how small it feels – is a step forward.
You are opening doors to new cultures, new ideas, and new connections. You are building bridges and expanding your world in incredible ways.
Don't be discouraged by mistakes. They are simply opportunities to learn and grow. Embrace the challenge, celebrate your small victories, and keep going.
You've got this! The world is waiting to hear your voice.
Share with anyone who needs this!

I work mostly with students whose business has paid for their English course. After many weeks or months it feels so sad when we have to say goodbye 👋😭.
But sometimes they come back to me, maybe a year later, then it's 🌈and🦄 again!
We catch up like long lost friends!👩❤️👨👩❤️👩
😁
*Does this make me unprofessional?😬

Using '"the" with transport.🚉⛴️✈️🚂🚌
We often use "the" when we are talking about a form of transport. We mainly do this with public transport (not with our own cars or bikes) and we usually use action verbs such as take, be on, get on and get off:
He took the bus to university.
She gets off the underground in North London.
Sarah's on the train now.
In all of these examples, we're not talking about a specific bus, train or plane but rather the system of transport as an idea.
We use "no article" when we use a type of transport with by:
They travelled by plane.
He goes to school by bus.
We went to Yorkshire by train.
We don't say "by foot" or "by feet" when we're talking about walking. We say "on foot" (no article).
Fill the gap with the or write "-" if we don't need an article. Answers in first comment.
1. They travelled by ______ boat when they went on holiday.
2. John is on ______ train.
3. How do you get to college? On ______ foot?

Hi everyone!🥰
I offer online ESL lessons at very reasonable prices! Please contact me for more info.☺️
Here is the first part of an example lesson:
How to make the passive in the past simple.
To make the passive, we:
move the object to the front,
make the tense we need with the verb 'be' (in this case, the past simple),
add the past participle of the main verb (for regular verbs, we add 'ed' to make the past participle),
add 'by + the original subject', if we want.
Here's are some examples with the past simple.
Active: The boys ate the oranges.
Passive: The oranges were eaten (by the boys).
Active: The author wrote the novel in 2013.
Passive: The novel was written (by the author) in 2013.
Active: We finished the assignment last month.
Passive: The assignment was finished last month (by us).
Practice:
Change the active sentences into passive sentences.
1. He wrote the email.
