When outdoor adventures are on pause, food enrichment brings a little exploration indoors. Spread, scatter and arrange different textures across the larger mat, then let curious noses and tongues take their time.

Not every special day needs a big plan.
A patch of grass, a favourite person, and a treat toy filled with something good can be enough to make a dog’s day feel different.
Happy Spoil Your Dog Day.

They may not always come when called.
They may choose the quiet corner, the sunny floorboard, or the exact middle of whatever you are doing.
But in their own time, and in their own style, they become part of every routine at home.
This International Cat Day, we celebrate the cats who bring character to the everyday — the paw-tappers, bowl explorers, window-watchers, nap experts and gentle companions.
A good day for a cat does not need to be complicated.
Sometimes it is simply food to explore, space to feel safe, and a home that understands them.

In this moment, the dog is not simply opening a gate.
It is opening access, confidence and independence.
Assistance dogs are trained to support people with disability-related needs — from guiding and hearing support to mobility assistance and other task-based help.
Their work is quiet, focused and life-changing.
This week, we honour the dogs who work with purpose, the people who trust them every day, and the trainers and volunteers behind every partnership.
More than a helper.
More than a companion.
An assistance dog changes how the world can be reached.

A muddy pup, a little peanut butter, and one very useful bath-time distraction. Sometimes the simplest routine makes clean-up feel much calmer.

DOGust 1st is more than a birthday.
It is a reminder that many dogs in shelters are waiting for something most pets already have:
a name called with love, a routine they can trust, and a place where they belong.
Shelter dogs may not know the date they were born, but they can still know the day their life changed.
Today, we honour the shelters, foster families, rescue volunteers and adopters who help make that change possible.
For every dog still waiting — may this be the year your story turns towards home.

Today’s challenge combines sliding, unlocking and sequencing.
Each skill is familiar, but using them together asks your dog to look beyond the first move and work through the complete route.
27/07/2026
One move is no longer enough.
Your dog must work through the blockers in order, creating space step by step before the final slider can reach the treat.

Today’s challenge adds a new layer.
One long slider blocks another, so your dog must move the right piece first to open the path. It’s a simple way to practise sequence and cause-and-effect.

Today's lesson is all about unlocking. The round slider can't move until the long slider is out of the way. One simple change, one new skill.
