It’s Carers Week – and this year’s theme is all about creating communities where carers feel recognised, supported, and valued.
Carers often give so much of themselves to look after others that their own wellbeing gets pushed aside. At Focus, we believe that caring for others shouldn't mean putting your own mental health aside.
That’s why we support carers through:
• NHS Talking Therapies - free, confidential support for stress, anxiety and low mood
• Private therapy options - when flexibility or choice matters most
• Workplace wellbeing support - for carers juggling employment and care responsibilities
• Practical coping strategies to manage overwhelm, improve resilience, and protect your mental health
Building a carer-friendly community means making support easy to access every day, not just once a year. We’re here to ensure no carer has to manage alone.
💬 If you care for someone, how could your community better support you? Share your thoughts in the comments.
Need to talk? Message us to find out how we can help or visit our site for details on NHS Talking Therapies and counselling support.

Our Business Development Manager Phil has co-written something in light of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚
This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re sharing a reminder that wellbeing isn’t just about what’s happening in your mind.
It’s also shaped by how you live, move, rest, connect and support yourself - especially when running a business or carrying responsibility for others.
Our members Paige Daniel The HEY Wellbeing Collective and Phil Hindle The Focus Group share a thoughtful, holistic look at mental health at work and beyond.

To every mum, mum-to-be, and birthing parent: we see you. Maternal Mental Health Week is a gentle reminder that your feelings matter—whether you’re overjoyed, overwhelmed, or somewhere in between.
It’s common to feel anxious, low, or unsure during pregnancy or after birth. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to carry it all by yourself. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Every story is unique, and every feeling is valid.
If you’re finding things tough, please know there are people ready to listen and help. You deserve kindness, understanding, and care—just as you are. 💚

Last week’s Hull Business Expo was a brilliant opportunity to connect with so many inspiring local businesses and community partners.
Phil and Sam had a fantastic time representing The Focus Group, sharing our passion for wellbeing, and learning from others who care about making a difference in Hull.
Big thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat or shared their story with us. We’re proud to be part of such a vibrant, supportive business community.
