Our taster sessions are back!! 🤪

HUWLC is a friendly and welcoming environment for anyone at university. Our taster session on the 21st of September is designed to help you get to grips with the sport that you’ll inevitably fall in love with!
Since it’s not a particularly commonly played sport at sixth form or college, our team consists of mixed abilities and we don’t expect any prior experience.

Our Give It A Go session will go over some of the basic techniques involved in holding the stick, cradling the ball, throwing and catching, and we will teach you the foundations to be a pro player 🤩
We will do some basic base level fitness since the sport is a full body effort - including, hand eye coordination activities, sprints (not to scare you off at all👀), and core and upper body work!
There is no selection process which keeps pressure low, it’s just a way to meet new people and have some fun!

You should turn up in sports attire and bring a mouth guard or lacrosse stick if you own either of these. No problem if not, we have spare sticks and free mouth guards for those of you just starting out.

Come see us at the sports fair on wednesday 21st september 9-4pm then we can direct you where our taster session at 5pm is going to be!

Fancy joining a sports team?

Never played lacrosse or played all your life, this is the sport for you! We’re made up of members of all abilities, some have even never tried the sport before uni and have fell in love with it 💛

HUWLC is welcome to all students whether you're a fresher or nearly at the end of your degree! 😍

We play in the BUCS league (meaning you will have the opportunity to represent the uni with both home and away matches) on Wednesdays, and have multiple training sessions a week which include drills, fitness and fun activities 🥍

Socials!!! 🍻
One of the best parts of LAX, in my opinion 😉
Our new social venue is Piper, and every Wednesday we get dressed up for the theme ands go off to social which includes lots of games and drinking (if that’s your thing!).
At the end of the night we end up in asylum with the rest of the uni to top the night off 🍻
Joint socials are also a blast and a great way to make even more friends with other teams.
We also have sober socials throughout the years, such as days out, meals etc and are always open to suggestions on what we can do 💙

We have close relations with the Men's lacrosse team so the sport is not just exclusive to one gender! If anyone would like to be put in contact with them just let us know

One of our main social calender events is old girls weekend joint with mens lacrosse for their old boys weekend yearly 🍻

Hull University women’s Lacrosse club. We are made up of members of all different abilities and welcome everyone whether they have played before or are brand new to the sport. Aswell as this we have weekly themed socials and sometimes social with other teams.
