DFN Project Search Hull

Interns for DFN Project SEARCH Hull Asda, enjoyed a visit from Abbie (Hull City Council), to learn more about Dental Hygiene. The interns enjoyed interactive activities and information to help them improve dental hygiene routines which are especially important for our interns based on the shop floor at Asda. All our interns are working on their customers service skills and having good dental hygiene will improve their confidence while on the shop floor. Thanks again to Abbie for a great presentation!

Congratulations to Ted and Jack, who have both successfully completed their Level 3 ICT Support Technician apprenticeships whilst working and developing their skills at N3i.

We are beyond proud of our interns from DFN Project SEARCH’s Asda (Mount Pleasant), CHCP and Humberside Police programmes this week, who attended their first Job Fair at the Edge Hub on Wednesday 20th May. Reverse Job Fairs can always be a stressful time for our interns, as they are talking about themselves to new people, in a new environment and looking for future employment opportunities. All of our interns overcame their anxieties and received positive feedback from the businesses that attended, showing off how much they had learned since starting the programme. Well done guys! 👏👏👏👏👏

We are pleased to announce Ethan as our intern of the month for DFN Project SEARCH Hull - Asda. Ethan has demonstrated independent working skills on the bread section, picking up the job role quickly and communicating well with all the colleagues. Ethan has demonstrated great organisation skills and is now putting all those transferable skills into practice as he starts job searching for paid employment. Well done, Ethan! 👏👏

For the month of May, our DFN Project SEARCH Hull-CHCP intern of the month is Peter! Peter has really been working hard to continue developing his transferable job skills, working through stressful situations, applying for jobs and throwing himself into his new rotation, always looking for extra work to accomplish and completing his tasks to a high standard. Peter's has really grown in his resilience, handling setbacks with maturity and being proactive in achieving his goals. Great work Peter👏👏

Last night we celebrated the achievements of Erin and Ethan who were chosen as DFN Project SEARCH Hull's Intern's of the Year at Wilberforce College's Student Achievement Evening at Hull University. Both intern's have worked hard in their prospective host businesses, showing resilience, dedication and growth.

Congratulations to all the student's who received awards last night!
