Amy - Nursery Manager - 32 years old - level 4 -DSL

Being the manager of bright bubbles is something i feel incredibly passionate and proud about, especially as i have been part of this nursery since i was 16 years old.
I have quite literally grown up here so think its fair to say i know the place pretty well 🫣 probably a little too well I'm here more than im at home 🤣.
Over the years I've had the privilege of growing, learning and developing alongside the nursery and becoming a parent myself to 2 beautiful little girls has given me a deeper understanding of how important trust, communication and genuine partnership with parents really is.

I'm passionate about always striving to be better and I'm definitely my own biggest critic probably a little too much, because apparently switching off and accepting that something is actually good enough isn't one of my strengths 🙈.

My staff team are incredibly important to me and i will always ensure they feel valued, supported, understood and proud of what they do.

You may not see me a lot i may sometimes be there in the background, but alongside that i am usually observing, supporting, problem solving, checking in on staff and often overthinking, i dont believe i need to be at the forefront as standing back, trusting my team and giving them the confidence to shine is what works for us.

my heart is in creating a nursery where children feel safe, loved and encouraged to be themselves, where parents feel welcomed, listened to and involved and where my staff team know how important they really are to me as i wouldn't be where i am today without each one of them (especially Caz as she has always supported me throughout my journey and is like my work mum🥰).

Managing a nursery is like organised chaos but i wouldn't have it any other way 💙

Things i enjoy
- My daughter is a competitive dancer so i have lost my social life and spend most weekends travelling to watch her dance.
- Travelling the world with my little family
- being the best mum and giving them a childhood to remember

Simone - 33 years old - Deputy manager/SENCO/DSL - level 4

I started my childcare journey at 21 and have spent the last 12 years within this building, working my way up form an unqualified newbie to a level 4 deputy manager and SENCO.
I have always had a passion to make a difference to people lives, which is what strives me to succeed every day.

Being the SENCO has allowed me to be the voice of the children and families not been able to advocate for themselves, being the deputy manager has allowed me to not only promote the quality of education the children receive but have an input in ensuring the staff team providing this are the best versions of themselves which is why we are not just colleagues but family too 🥰.

I am a mum of 2 boys (so free time is far and few between) and having children truly changes your thought process when looking after others children you instinctively provide love, support and comfort for those children as you would your own.
There is nothing more special than the title Mum and Dad.

Sarcasm is definitely my super power and i am happier than i look most of the time 🤣

Things I enjoy:
- love travelling/spending time with my family
- I'm a foodie and love to cook ( not a great asset with the work buffets as i always get the privilege 🫣

Carole best known as "caz"- 59 years old - level 4 nursery practitioner

I have worked in childcare from being 18 years old and spent 27 of those years within this building.
I have always being part of the baby room and my inspiration is the hope that i am always someone's earliest memory of feeling loved and safe when away from their home environment.
Not only do i care for the children within the setting i am also such a huge role model to all of the staff and enjoy sharing my experiences with them.

my colleagues would refer to me as the "dancing queen of the room" you will always find me on the hard floor dancing with one of the children or even sometimes just on my own 💃
The children would refer to me as "nanna or grandma" and i have been given that title several times which matches my caring nurturing personality perfectly.

I am able to provide the children with the best emotional start to their educational journey as being a parent myself and working within the sector for so long building that first initial bond and trusting relationship with parents and their children is the most important thing to me as a practitioner.

An interesting fact is that my daughter has followed in my footsteps and joined the bright bubbles family 3 years ago.

Lucy D - 24 years old - level 3 nursery practitioner

I have worked in childcare for 5 years and stayed within the bright bubbles team for the full time.
I enjoy watching the children grow, learn and develop and gain their own personalities.
Throughout my time here i have always been a toddler room staff member, however i am taking on a new challenge into the preschool room this term. I'm really looking forward to this next step and being able to prepare the children for there next stage of education.

I really enjoy providing creative activities for the children and I'm not afraid to get messy alongside the children. Providing the children with routines daily and ensuring each child feels involved is one of my strengths.

Sarah - 60 years old - Level 3 practitioner

I have over 23 years experience in childcare and finally found a place in the bright bubbles family 5 years ago. I have always been a toddler room staff member and love to watch them grow and support them in meeting new milestones, i enjoy seeing their personalities develop as they come down into the toddler room.

I am like the pied piper 9 times out of 10 new children attach themselves to me, i also feel i build amazing relationships with the parents ensuring that they feel confident and happy to leave their children in our care. the children keep me young at heart but my memory and bones tell me different 👵

i originate from Leeds -"UP THE RHINOS ".
I am a mum of 2 and have 5 grandchildren i am a dog mum to Boris which means a lot of my spare time is taken up, travelling back to see my family and on long walks.

Shauna - 30 years old - level 6 diploma

I have been in childcare for around 10 years (with a little break in between). I found my heart a bright bubbles 2 years ago.
It has always been my passion to work with and care for children, i enjoy initially meeting them and watching them grow and seeing their personalities change throughout the rooms. I enjoy knowing i have contributed and supported them to develop into the little treasure they are today.

I am a very adaptable staff member and can thrive in any environment, i have worked in the preschool room for the last year and believe i supported each child's individual needs and prepared them for the next stage in their education getting them school ready.

I'm a very good team player and will always do my best to support the newcomers, i feel i offer supportive advice and will do my best to help build their self confidence.

I have a "can do " attitude and i am willing to undertake any task i am given and will always strive to succeed.

Interesting fact about me is i am very eccentric i like reading fantasy book and playing dungeons and dragons.

Lucy G - 35 years old - Level 3 nursery practitioner

I Have been in childcare for 19 years in the same place (Fun fact i was a child in the kidz club before i started my working journey here).

I am the heart of the baby room 💛
I have been in the baby room since starting and i couldn't think of anything else i would want to do, my caring and nurturing side makes me an asset to this environment, and allows me to build amazing relationships with the babies i care for.
I am able to support the children's emotional needs and have the skills to recognise what the children require without them needing to communicate this.
My colleagues would call me the children's home away from home as I'm able to offer them structure, stability and safety.

I am a very organised person and have a slight super power where i know something is going to happen before it does - which makes Amy and Simone's job a little difficult when trying to carry out surprise fire drills! whoops! 🫣

my dedication to the job is inspiring and i love being able to implement my knowledge to current and future employees however this must be through physical practice as I'm not the most confident in believing in my abilities which is wild because i could do my job with my eyes shut.
P.S. i do cracking impersonations and my colleagues always tell me to sign up to BGT!! 😝

Abbie - 24 years old - Level 3 nursery practitioner

I have been working in childcare for almost 5 years throughout this time 4 years have been spent within the baby room, i really enjoy supporting their individual and immediate needs and being a part of their learning and development.
Supporting them to learn new skills such as saying their first words or taking their first steps.
I love that no 2 days are ever the same, i enjoy creating a messy environment allowing the children to explore all different textures and materials. ( I have made a full farm out of cereal 🐄🐷🐑🐓).

I have an amazing memory and i am able to recite the children's routines, preferences and comforters, which is a useful skill to support my colleagues.
I am very adaptable and can work across any room but i would be my own worst critic and doubt myself when i shouldn't. (This is something I'm currently working on 🫣)

Tillie - 23 years old - Apprentice - working towards a level 3 practitioner

I'm the person you have probably communicated the most with throughout the building as i love to chat.
I have been in childcare for 4 years and found my place in the bright bubbles family nearly 2 years ago.
You will best know me as being part of the toddler room i am best suited here as you will always catch me singing, dancing and supporting the children to burn energy ( Fun fact did you know i played Elsa at our last Christmas party). If I'm not singing im playing hairdressers 💇🏼‍♀️

My dream is to become a children's entertainer abroad what is better then watching them learn new skills and having fun in the sun. 🌞 for now my heart remains in costa del Hull ☔

i was inspired to work in childcare to make a difference and always put a smile on children's and parents faces. I believe that children should come to the setting to learn and develop but also have fun whilst doing so and i love being the one to contribute to that.

Danielle - 48 years old - level 4 nursery practitioner

I have worked in childcare for over 30 years in a number of different roles and at a number of different settings, I'm very adaptable and can work across all rooms, I'm very knowledgeable and will always make time to research up to date framework changes. I found my feet at the bright bubbles family 3 years ago, within this time i have taken on a temporary deputy manager role.

I love to watch, encourage and support the children in their journeys with us, i enjoy implementing fun activities and getting messy allowing the children to reach their full potential.

I am a mum of 2 boys and i love spending time together mostly in Turkey after almost 30 visits.
