It is with great sadness that I advise of the passing of Mike Steel, Hull Trinity House Old Boy. He had been ill for some years. Mike spent some time at Newland homes (Mike on the right) before becoming an apprentice pilot on the Humber. He never went to sea to gain his certificates but became a Hull prison officer and dog handler. He was a Freemason for thirty four years gaining Provincial Officer status; always willing to help anyone and actively engaged in the maintenance of the Hull Masonic Hall.. A real gentleman respected and admired by all.

Fraternal greetings from previous de la Pole Lodge member. Great to meet up with Jeff yesterday for a catchup since he last hosted me at his home in Derbyshire. Much to talk about on our Masonic journeys.
