The Hair and Beauty team at Wilberforce have been brought to life in illustrated form, capturing the personalities, passion and energy that fill our college salon every day.
A fun way to celebrate the people behind the scissors, skills and teaching, and to show that learning can be creative as well as hands on.
On Monday our hairdressing students had an amazing workshop with Kayley, a hair loss specialist working with clients facing cancer, alopecia, and other hair loss challenges.
Students learned about hair systems, bespoke casts, scalp health, and how to support clients with empathy and compassion. They even got to see a system up close and ask questions directly to one of Kayley’s clients.
Our learners were fully engaged, inspired, and sparked ideas for career progression in this rewarding area of the sector.
