Our Performing and Production Arts group of 2024, some are leaving and some are staying. As a treat for their incredible hard work the past year a trip to see Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at Hull New Theatre was in order! What a fabulous show!

We are extremely proud of the work that they have all done and we are sad to see some of you leave! Goodbye to our leavers and best of luck in the future❤️

Yesterday Year 2 Production Arts visited Leeds City College to complete industry standard training by ROBE lighting ( ) on RoboSpot. Will from Robe delivered the training to our students and they all enjoyed it very much - such an excellent tool for them to have as they continue on to university and the industry.

We may have also set up some opportunities for next year🤫👀

Step into the living gallery of ‘You and Me in HU3’

Hull College Musical Theatre students present a captivating site-specific, promenade theatre experience that breathes life into the poignant images capturing the essence of Northern England's working life in Hull.

Embark on a journey as the vibrant characters of the exhibition leap from the frames, inviting you to witness their joys, struggles, and triumphs. Immerse yourself in the heart and soul of Hull as seen through the lens of its hardworking residents.

On Wednesday 20 March at 4pm, Hull College Musical Theatre students will be doing an approx. 30-minute performance using site-specific conventions in the gallery.

Free and open to all, the performance is based on the ‘You and Me in HU3’ exhibition by Russell Boyce and George Norris. Starting downstairs amongst Space 1 and travelling and ending upstairs in Space 2, this not a traditional musical theatre performance - as the students explore factors of community theatre and immersive performance.

This week has been technical rehearsals for our upcoming degree showcase with 🤩

There’s a collection of work from both the dance and musical theatre pathway that will be displayed on Thursday evening including our HCDA’s very own Alive dance that will be displayed at the final of That’s Showbiz! 🤩

We’re entering the busy period of our calendar as we take a sharp turn in to our end of year shows which are all very exciting - keep your eyes firmly peeled on our socials!👀
