Who would have thought this picture would cause upset? 😲🤷‍♀️

Now, while I appreciate the fact that this white outfit came in perfectly white, Cub B looked beautiful. If you met Cub B, you would know this would not last. This girl could be in a sterilized room and still have dirt appear on her. It's a truly magic trick. ✨🪄
On drop-off, I checked with Mum that this outfit was play-suitable. Mum assured me it was old and she wanted to get use out of it. 👍😊

Now, I appreciate the message that I "could have put an apron on her" (Not sure how that would stop her sitting in the paint.) 🤔🤷‍♀️

However, in this setting, we do not interrupt play. Think of play as a delicate, fragile circle; once you touch that circle, it will never be the same. Interrupting play can stop play. While sometimes I have to redirect play, on the whole, play is free-flowing. 🎨🤸‍♀️

This also means if a child wants to sit in the middle of her picture, she can. Here's the kicker: neither myself nor my parents care if paint gets on the children or their clothes. We wear old clothes, often turning up in clothes already full of memories. 👖👕

It's okay if you would not be happy if your child came home covered in paint. Cub B was VERY happy while working on her core strength, spatial awareness, , focus, cause and effect. P.S. I did get her changed before going home. 😊💪🎨
