Dear Parents and Carers

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to operate a school menu today however, we are going to be providing wraps and rolls with a variety of fillings for children to choose when they arrive for their lunch. There will also be vegetable sticks, fruit and jelly.

If you are able to provide a packed lunch for your child today, and we appreciate this is very last minute, we would be very grateful. There is no expectation to do this. We would fully refund todays lunch if you are able to provide this.

If you re able to do this, could you (if you have time) let us know child's name and class on [email protected].

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Kind regards

Karen Strachan and Amy Vine

We are incredibly proud to have achieved our fourth consecutive Gold School Games Mark Award in recognition of our commitment to PE, sport and physical education. Achieving the Gold Mark four times in a row means we can aim for the Platinum award next year!

This year has been a particularly busy one for sports competitions, with many children representing the school in matches and various sports events. Many children at Kingskerswell have attended clubs and taken part in a variety of sporting opportunities.

A huge thank you to our staff who give up a lot of their time to make these experiences possible.

Well done all!

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow 🥰

Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your support this week in enabling us to remain open during the extreme heat. We have greatly appreciated your understanding and cooperation, which has helped us to prioritise children’s safety and wellbeing throughout.
Our staff have been fantastic in adapting provision and ensuring that children stayed safe, cool and well cared for. We have also been impressed with how the children have responded—taking responsibility for drinking plenty of water, seeking shade and following guidance sensibly.
As it has been a long, hot and tiring week, we have decided to offer a flexible approach for tomorrow. If you would like to collect your child early, you are welcome to do so from 1:30pm onwards. There is no need to inform us in advance—simply come to reception and we will bring your child to you.
If you are unable to collect your child early, please be reassured that we will continue to care for them as normal until the end of the school day at 3:20pm.
Wraparound care, including after-school club, will also run as usual until 5:50pm.
Thank you once again for your continued support—it is very much appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Karen Strachan
Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers

Firstly, apologies for the message so late in the day.

Secondly, you may have seen there is a weather warning out for heat next week so we wanted to address this.

We are recommending children come to school in light weight clothing, shoulders covered, no open toed shoes/sandals, for the whole of next week. PE kit will be fine, but shorts and t-shirts will be acceptable. Can we ask you to send children in with an extra drink, a sun hat, and covered in sun cream please.

Cricket club will be cancelled tomorrow, as will football club on Tuesday. Indoor clubs, such as Drama, will continue as normal.

Forest school will continue as normal as this is in the shade but we request long sleeved and long trousers to protect from any stings or ticks.

Thank you for your support, and apologies again for the late message.

Please help us reach other families and share this message. Thank you 🙂

Kind regards

KKPS
