East Soar Outdoor Experience Education centre with Walkers'Hut, Holiday cottage and Rustic wedding barn, near Salcombe, South Devon. A beautiful holiday cottage is on site.

East Soar Outdoor Experience is situated on a National Trust farm in one of the the most breathtaking parts of South Devon. On the headland, just above the picturesque village of Salcombe the location is perfectly suited to provide children and young people with an outdoor experience that will stay with them forever. The centre provides outdoor educational opportunities for children with addition

al educational needs and mainstream groups. As we are situated on a National Trust farm we work very closely with our local Rangers to ensure schools and families have access to our beautiful surroundings. As well as residential school trips and day workshops, in our spare capacity we offer a catered camping service. East Soar also host approximately 6 wedding receptions a year. The Walkers' Hut offers walkers refreshments while exploring the stunning coastal paths and many walks surrounding the farm.

A young man from Thurlestone has been battling a rare brain cancer for eight years, despite having a 99% mortality rate.

As he prepares for a new treatment unavailable on the NHS, his former rugby teammates are stepping up to help. Friend Schalk Herselman took on an incredible endurance challenge to raise funds for this treatment starting in September.

All done! Schalk has successfully finished the challenge of riding 500km in 36hrs off road on his mountain bike to raise funds for Jack’s cancer treatment. He was joined by several friends from Salcombe RFC who helped him to keep going, big thank you gents for your efforts!
Finally a HUGE BIG THANK YOU to everyone who supported this fund raiser, all together over £5000 was raised!
The Go Fund Me page will be open for one more week if anyone else would still like to donate. Cheers Guys!
