Gratitude is easy on the good days. ☀️

Sunshine, a walk, a coffee in peace, of course I can find things to be grateful for then.

But I've learned the real shift happens on the hard days. The tired ones. The ones where I've snapped at the kids, forgotten something important, and just want to sit down and cry.

Those are the days I make myself look for one small thing. A warm cup of tea I actually got to drink hot. Five quiet minutes. A message from a friend at just the right moment. It doesn't fix the day. But it reminds me there's still light in it, somewhere.

And the more you practice this, even on the ordinary days, the easier it becomes to find it on the truly hard ones.

What's one small thing you're grateful for today, even if it's been a tough one? 👇

"After just four sessions with Jules, my fear has subsided dramatically. I’ve just returned from Bali, where I hiked through the jungle and saw plenty of spiders — and I felt no fear. I now feel free to travel to places I previously wouldn’t have even considered, and I’m already excited about visiting Asia again next year."

Would you like to feel this too?
Have you got a fear or phobia that is controlling your life?💛

Maybe it's something small that quietly limits your days — turning down invitations, avoiding certain roads or lifts, dreading flights, or feeling that flutter of anxiety before situations other people don't think twice about.

Or maybe it's something bigger — a fear that's been with you for years, one you've just learned to work around and plan your life to avoid.

Take a moment to ask yourself:
🔸 Does it stop me doing things I'd actually love to do?
🔸 Do I avoid certain places, situations or plans because of it?
🔸 Does it make me anxious before things even happen?
🔸 Do I feel like it's steering my choices, rather than me?

If any of that feels familiar, please know you're not being "silly" or "over the top", and you're not stuck with it forever. Fears and phobias are so often just old patterns your mind picked up along the way, and patterns like that can be gently unwound.

As a hypnotherapist, I help people release fears and phobias that have been holding them back, in just a few sessions. Many of my clients are surprised at how much lighter and freer they feel afterwards, wondering why they didn't do it sooner.

Getting your life back from a fear or phobia is often so much easier than it feels right now. 🌿

If you'd like a gentle chat about what's been affecting you, I'm here. Drop me a message or book a free call. No pressure to commit just a chance to chat about the issue.

How do you reset yourself?
For me, it's simple, a long walk, big sky, salty air.

It's often in these quiet moments (not the striving ones) that we actually come back to ourselves. Something I love exploring with the busy mums I work with, through coaching and hypnotherapy, helping you find your version of this reset.

Here's something I wish more women knew:

Thought → Feeling → Action.

It sounds simple, but it explains so much of the exhaustion so many of us carry.

🧠 Thought: "I have to hold it all together."
❤️ Feeling: Tight, anxious, alone.
🏃‍♀️ Action: Push harder, say yes again, skip your own rest.

Now try this:

🧠 Thought: "I'm doing my best with what I have today."
❤️ Feeling: A little softer. A little more room to breathe.
🏃‍♀️ Action: You pause. You ask for help. You choose rest without guilt.

Same day. Same to-do list. Completely different experience of it.

This is the work I love doing with women — not adding one more thing to your list, but gently loosening the thoughts that are making everything feel heavier than it needs to.

While walking the other day I had the thought "Why do I walk?"

And here's what I decided.

Some of my best thinking doesn't happen at a desk. It happens when I'm outside, putting one foot in front of the other.

There's something about the simple rhythm of walking that quiets the noise in my head. My perspective softens. My mindset shifts. And almost without trying, creativity starts to flow again.

The answers to things that have been bothering me? They don't usually arrive when I'm sitting still, forcing them. They arrive mid-stride, when I've stopped chasing them.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just plain tired, you don't need a big plan. You just need to take the first step. Sometimes literally. 🌿

What helps you think clearly when life feels like a lot? I'd love to hear below 👇

You didn't sleep well. The inbox is already full. Your mum needs a call back. The kids need lunches made. And somewhere in there, a thought slips in: "I can't do this."

That one sentence changes everything. Your shoulders tighten. Your breath gets shorter. You snap at the kettle for being slow.

Here's the thing, the day didn't do that to you. The thought did.

Your thoughts are the quiet architects of how you feel, and how you feel shapes what you do next. The good news? If a thought can build the overwhelm, a different thought can start to ease it.

A quick one for you. When stress builds up where do you feel it first?

Jaw, shoulders, stomach or somewhere else entirely?

I ask because so many of the people I work with are shocked to realise how much their body has been quietly telling them, long before their mind caught up.

Drop yours in the comments, I read every single one and it genuinely helps me understand what to write about next. 🩵

Joy isn't a luxury. It's essential. 🌊

Somewhere between school runs, deadlines and everyone else's needs, joy tends to slip down the list. But the things that light us up aren't optional extras, they're what keep us going.

And even though I know this it still happens. So I have catch myself and make it happen.

There's something about sitting on the beach, looking out at all that water, that puts things back into perspective.

It's hard to feel like everything rests on your shoulders when you're facing something so much bigger than you.

For a few minutes, it's not about the to-do list, or being needed, or holding it all together. It's just you, small and steady, part of something much wider.

And somehow that's the thing that helps most, not fixing anything, just remembering it's not all about me.

If you're a mum who's used to being the one everyone else relies on, this is your reminder: you're allowed to feel small sometimes. It's not a failure. It's rest. 🩵
