As we come to the end of another incredible school year, we want to say a heartfelt farewell to our amazing Year 6 children and their families.

It has been a privilege to watch you grow in confidence, kindness and resilience throughout your time with us. From your first days at school to the wonderful young people you are today, you have filled our classrooms with laughter, curiosity and unforgettable memories.

As you take your next exciting steps towards secondary school, remember to believe in yourselves, embrace new opportunities and never stop aiming high. We know you will achieve wonderful things, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you.

To our Year 6 families, thank you for your support, encouragement and partnership over the years. It has meant so much to be part of your children's journey.

Good luck, Class of 2026! Keep smiling, keep dreaming and always remember—you will always be a valued part of our school family. 💙✨

🦅🎾 What a fantastic end-of-year treat!
Today, our children had the amazing opportunity to meet Rufus, the famous hawk from Wimbledon, and learn all about his important role in keeping the tennis courts pigeon-free.
The children loved meeting Rufus, holding him with Donna’s help, and watching his incredible flying display. It was a truly unforgettable experience!
A huge thank you to Donna and Avena for such a memorable visit. 💙

Last Thursday and Friday, all our classes welcomed visitors from MADMAC Money to discuss budgeting and sustainability.
James and Rob from MADMAC discussed the issues surrounding the increased costs of products which are better for the environment and how many may be priced out of purchasing more sustainable products and may be forced into cheaper, more harmful alternatives due to budgeting. Everyone discussed where products are made, noting lots of products are made in a similar region of the planet, and the economic reasons for this. We discussed the poor quality of working conditions for such workers and how businesses will seek a cheaper expense for a greater profit. Finally, in KS1 in particular and in line with budgeting, we spoke about needs and wants and how it is unrealistic and poor budgeting to have McDonalds every day.
Each session has been adapted to suit the age group, but we have been so impressed with both the topics discussed and the quality of the questions our children came up with.
Thank you for an amazing couple of days and workshops.

The World Cup has started! ⚽️ 🏆

Cue music 🎵 “It’s coming home, It’s coming home, it’s coming. Football’s coming home 🎵

With football on my mind, it made me think about sports betting and how sports betting has become increasingly visible across apps, websites, social platforms and even the live games themselves. This is making it easier for young people to encounter gambling messages before they are old enough to take part legally. This week’s guide explores how betting content can appear through adverts, influencers, tipsters, friends, gaming spaces and even adult accounts.

It also highlights the risks of impulsive spending, chasing losses, ‘free bet’ offers and the way gambling can become normalised around sport. With practical advice on starting calm conversations, spotting warning signs, setting safer digital boundaries and finding support, the guide helps parents and educators approach the topic with confidence.
